We had our first baby in March 2022 and it was nearly impossible to find a daycare with space but I called every option close to us in the Terra Linda/Mont Marin area. Most didn't have availability or just never responded or were out of business. Soroor gave me a call back and I was able to schedule a time to meet with her and view her set-up. I was newly post-partum and went to the appointment a little dazed from the sleep deprivation of those first few months. Soroor was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and she took the time to walk me through her whole setup, answer every nervous first-time-parent question I had, and just put me at ease in a way I desperately needed right then. Her space was clean, bright, and clearly set up with young babies in mind- safe, age-appropriate toys, a real routine, and none of the sterile, corporate feel some of the bigger centers had. What really stood out was how she treated each child as an individual. She learned my son's cues, his little quirks, and adjusted her care accordingly instead of sticking to one rigid schedule for every kid in the room. Over the time my son was in her care, I always felt like he was in loving, attentive hands. Soroor communicated with us daily about naps, feedings, and milestones, and she genuinely celebrated every little "first" right alongside us. My son adored her, and honestly, so did we. We call her “MamaRoor” If you're a new parent searching this area for infant or toddler care, I can't recommend Soroor highly enough. Finding her felt like winning the lottery during one of the most overwhelming seasons of our lives, and I'm so grateful our son got to spend his early years with someone so caring and dependable. Any child would be lucky to be in her care.

My son has been in Soroor’s care since he was 5 months old and our experience has been wonderful. Her environment is loving, engaging, and provides a family feel for the children. Soroor is constantly working to learn new things, adapting the space, and implementing stimulating activities for the kids to do together. Hugs & Kisses is play based and the mix of ages has helped my son’s development. He followed the older kids, trending ahead in speech and skills, and has learned to play gently and loving towards babies younger than him as well. Being a full time working parent, with no family in the area, Soroor has stepped in as an incredible role model and loving member of the family. She’s been flexible with our schedules, checks in if our son is sick, and helped provide guidance when needed as first time parents. Her fees include food and diapers, which was a huge relief mentally and helped introduce our son to lots of different healthy options as he began eating solids. He’s the best eater now and a lot of that I attribute to Soroor’s care. Our son is transitioning to Preschool this fall and he regularly talks about his friends and “going to Soroor’s”. We’re going to miss seeing Soroor on a regular basis and would highly recommend Hugs & Kisses to anyone looking for new care for their child.

I feel so incredibly fortunate to have had our daughter at Hugs and Kisses the last 1.5 years. Soroor helped us work through a lot of big feelings, potty trained our daughter, fed her meals that make her one of the least picky toddlers. Soroor is so loving and treats all the children like part of the family. She will work with your family through whatever is going on in your household. The outdoor play area is epic with lots of room to climb, explore, get their hands dirty, garden, etc. We're constantly amazed at the new things our daughter comes home having learned and sharing with us. We're so grateful to Soroor and her assistant, Lena. Wish we could keep our daughter there forever and we'll be visiting for years to come. Soroor is also constantly taking new courses on childhood development and implementing new strategies within the daycare and sharing those learnings with us at home. With her suggestions, we've started a very successful sticker chore chart and have focused on naming and working through overwhelming emotions to keep tantrums to a minimum. It's truly been incredible for us.

If I could give Hugs and Kisses Day Care more than five stars, I absolutely would. Soroor is truly one of a kind. She became like family to us, and I always knew my daughter was loved, safe, and genuinely cared for. She is kind, energetic, patient, funny, and has such a wonderful personality that both the children and parents adore. She treats every child as if they were her own family, creating an environment where they feel secure, happy, and excited to learn. One thing that really sets Soroor apart is her dedication to continued education. She is constantly taking trainings and expanding her knowledge, especially in child development and social-emotional learning. It’s clear that she is deeply invested in giving children the very best care and helping them thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally. And I have to mention the food! Somehow my daughter happily ate more vegetables at daycare than she ever did at home. It still makes me laugh, but it also speaks to the warm, encouraging environment Soroor creates. Fidelina also deserves special recognition. She is incredibly loving, gentle, and kind, and she played such an important role in making Hugs and Kisses feel like a second home. We were heartbroken when we moved because it meant we couldn’t send our second daughter there. Honestly, if it were possible, I would seriously consider driving 30 minutes in traffic just to have my children there. That’s how much we trusted Soroor and her team. If you’re looking for a daycare where your child will be loved, nurtured, and cared for like family, I cannot recommend Hugs and Kisses Day Care highly enough. We will always be grateful for the incredible start they gave our daughter.

I highly recommend Hugs and Kisses Daycare. My son has been with Soroor for the last two years, and I could not imagine a better caregiver. Soroor has taught my son how to handle big feelings, potty trained him, and instilled values of kindness, respect, and how to play well with others. His language is above the average for his age (and for a boy) and this is in large part to Soroor's constant engagement with him. My son is a joyful, happy child, and I attribute so much of that to Soroor's care, love, and attention. She goes above and beyond, even checking in when he's home sick or on vacation. She genuinely cares about each child's well-being. Her assistant Brenda, and former assistant Fidelina (who left to have a baby), created a safe and loving environment. My son often asks about all three of them and when they can visit our home! Soroor is very diligent in hiring, doing trial runs before bringing anyone on board, and it shows--her assistants are fantastic and stay long-term; that consistency is very important to us. Soroor regularly provides guidance and advice on raising children. She is always learning--reading up on new methods, sharing books and resources, and helping us navigate developmental changes. She is so flexible and understanding if you're running late or need to drop off early. As two working parents, this has made our lives much easier. The outdoor play area is great, with plenty of room to climb and explore, and a garden to get their hands dirty; Soroor is also always making updates to the space. We're constantly amazed at the new things our child comes home having learned. The food (included in the fee, along with diapers!) she serves is incredibly healthy, and my son loves it. It's made him a much less picky eater at home. Hugs and Kisses Daycare is a truly special place where children thrive.

My son attended for over three years and our daughter for over a year, and we have nothing but good things to say about our experience. It's an ideal setup that is all about what's best for children - loving, committed, super attentive and knowledge caregivers who truly care about each child; tons of fun toys and activities that are age-appropriate and help with development; clean and engaging indoor and outdoor spaces (really, the outdoors is a dream!); home-cooked meals - my kids actually eat veggies there; frequent and easy communication; a group size that allows for socialization without feeling overwhelming - I really could go on and on! Soroor knows my children so well and is a true and trusted partner in our family!
