My daughter started attending on May 5th 2025, so far it has been a great experience. Considering that I am a first time mom here are a few things I absolutely love about JSU. 1. The teachers keep me informed via the brightwheel app. I know when she has used the potty, ate, napped, and they send pictures through the app. 2. I am made aware when my child has made another milestone. I really appreciate this! 3. The teachers are loving and caring to each child. 4. They provide the food, diapers, and wipes. My child drinks a different formula, but it helps with savings with them providing the diapers. 5. I also appreciate the security measures used. I’m made aware on the app when someone other than myself checks out my child. Most of all Ms. Jamilah is very sweet and knowledgeable. I have had great interactions with all the members I’ve encountered. I definitely recommend registering your child to attend JSU. I actually drive 15 mins in a different direction than my commute to work because of the quality of service I receive here. * Updating my review* It has been a full year since enrolling my daughter. I am still content with the quality of care and services offered. The retention rate for the teachers is well. Education plan is well. Communication is still prompt and clear. I can call or email and receive an answer. Due to the economy I thought of exploring other options because I am private pay, but JSU has been great for my daughter and my family so I plan to stay here and recommend others. With all the negative and scary stories online I find comfort in knowing my child is safe and if something happens I am immediately made aware. I recommend JSU! Remember quality over quantity. Family engagement events are often and amazing! I am somewhat a helicopter parent so I often volunteer at the center for events. The staff understand that I am a first time mom, but have never made me feel uncomfortable. The teachers, director, and the admin are very welcoming.

Do not keep consistent teachers & don't have core curriculum & engaging learning focused play activities or lesson plans, just basic overall daycare just basically babysitting and had an incident where the daycare owner insisted that my child needed to be diagnosed with a behavioral problem. The teachers don't have the most up to date early childcare education background except for the headstart class and the baby & toddler room. Frequently have sick children and will give certain parents a hard time about that and some parents they allow them to bring the child still severely sick and don't know how to cater and care for them.
