Parent Reviews
Choosing a place to send my two month old baby was daunting because my husband passed away unexpectedly at that time and he was supposed to be the primary caregiver. In the midst of my shock and grief, I visited Kindercare and met with the director. She was very reassuring and patient with all of my questions and concerns. My baby thrived in the infant room. She formed bonds with several of the teachers. She is so happy there. She is now in the toddler room and is enjoying going to daycare every day. The staff is very accommodating and full of energy and smiles. Ms. Kathy, Ms. Farzi, and Ms. Lisa are dedicated to making the children (and parents) feel comfortable and safe. I am glad that I decided to send my baby to this kindercare. I know my husband would have been happy to see how much my baby is growing and learning too.
I have a great story that I just have to share with you! Last week, we took Brody for a speech evaluation. It was ran through Montgomery County Board of Ed/Child Find. Even though we were only interested in getting his speed assessed, he needed to go through the whole process (they use Dial 4), which included several different stations (motor skills, language skills, problem solving, etc) all facilitated by specialists in each field. At the conclusion, the specialists do a panel conversation with the parents & go through the scores. Brody ranked SUPERIOR (proud mom moment)!! They each complimented his overall knowledge and estimated he was at a 6 year old level in all areas. They said he will find kindergarten a breeze. They also said a lot of nice things about his confidence and comfort with them (he went by himself to each assessment, while most of the other children needed their parents to accompany them, and how he interacted with the other children (they also observed them play). Tom & I walked out of there so happy... not only because they said his speech was fine, but because of our decision to send him (and keep him) in your KinderCare. Seriously.... he's been there since he was 12 weeks old! He's been in every single classroom around the building! He's been well cared for, safe, loved... which are the most important things when they're that little, but overall his education has been great. Each of his teachers have been awesome, we could not be more pleased. We especially love the fact that he gets to take advantage of all the "extras" like phonics, handwriting, music, cooking... no other daycare offers anything close to it. You & your staff have become like a second family to us. Last week at Trunk or Treat, Tom and I were so sad because we realized it was our last one. I know this was long winded.. but a HUGE THANK YOU!! Please pass the gratitude along to your team.
To Ms. Kathy and her staff, especially Ms. Sheeba, As you have known me for the last several years, I am not one of those parents who often write a warm and fuzzy thank you emails. However, I have to express our appreciation to all of you who have helped us raise Kimiko up till today. I had Kimiko's very first conference with her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. LaRocca. She has been a Kindergarten teacher at Laytonsville Elementary School for at least twenty years. Prior to that, she was teaching at Lake Seneca Elementary School in Germantown. One of her sons is a PE teacher at Waterslanding Elementary School in Germantown. With all that being said, she asked me where Kimiko received her pre-K education. She was honest to tell me that there are two other children who can read better than she can in her class, and they are montessori school graduates. She also confirmed that her peers and she expect good academic performance from those children who graduated from montessori school usually. However, she further explained how important it is to teach our children other things, such as respect and caring manners. She was impressed how well-rounded Kimiko is and wanted to know where she had been cared previously. When I told her where Kimiko belonged for the last four years, she informed me that her son also noticed great behaviors from those children who came from our center. This is amazing!!! My husband and I are aware that we have much more work to do. However, we are forever more thankful for all you have done. We strive to carry on your hard work. Thank you.
