Learning Jungle Mission Gorge serves the Mission Gorge, Allied Gardens, San Carlos and Del Cerro communities. Centrally located off the I-15, our location is a short drive from Downtown San Diego. Our child care facilities and programs foster a lifelong love of learning and cater to children 6 weeks to 6 years of age.

At this age, toddlers become more independent and we encourage their development with a carefully designed program of activities largely through play. Learning Jungle offers a balanced program that allows children to explore, be engaged and develop fine motor, gross motor and cognitive skills. Educators observe and track developmental progress in all five domains to plan activities for each individual toddler. The toddler environment is set up in a spacious area to accommodate for lots of activity and movement. Educators delight in the opportunity to be silly, sing, dance, read, play, and laugh with toddlers. Outdoor play and exploration are also an important part of a toddler’s day to exercise large muscles and burn off energy.

At Learning Jungle School, children enjoy a variety of trips and outings to the Library, local Fire Station, Zoo and other places of interest, in which parents are also encouraged to participate.

Our son loves the Learning Jungle at Mission Gorge. We came from a Montessori program and found that the Reggio Emilia approach is perfect for our energetic son. We love the staff at the learning jungle, but even more importantly so does are daughter! Some days we barely get a wave goodbye because she is so happy to spend the day with them! They give tons of outdoor time with a variety of activities. They have a rotating menu that is very inclusive of dietary restrictions and are very communicative about how she does each day. We couldn’t ask for a better place for her to spend her time. Thank you to everyone at the learning jungle!!

I have 2 children enrolled at Learning Jungle Mission Gorge. The teachers are wonderful with the children in all age groups and my kids really love their teachers. Each and every day is full of fun, enriching activities that range from active to artistic. They have learned to socialize and the older one has made many friends he is excited to see. My son has been with Learning Jungle MG since he was 1.5 years old and is now about to move onto TK. We are so grateful to have found this school and have met these teachers.
