We were amazed how much our child thrived after starting going to Learning Star. Almost 2 years later, he continues to thrive and surprise us with what he learns. We love how Mrs. Carmelita nurtures our little one's curiosity and imagination as well as the social, emotional, and intellectual developments. It's not just our child, I see how much other kids enjoy their time at the day care too. The smiles are simply precious.

This is a continuation of my first review as we continued with Learning Star with my second child. My child has been blossoming! We love that Carmelita continues to send us updates, videos and pictures as we like seeing the progress of our little one. I am amazed how quick my little one has developed in all areas especially with phonics and math. I definitely appreciate the small class and home-like atmosphere. It is very comfortable for my child. We do have the opportunity to have both my children attend the same school (has a preschool), but we felt more comfortable keeping and completing our second child with Carmelita. I can say with confidence that I know my second child will be more than prepared when she enters kindergarten! :)

My son is 2.5 years old. Almost two years ago, my family and I moved to California from Florida. We came here without relatives or friends close by. My husband and I had to start our new jobs immediately after arriving. We needed a day care. We visited several day cares. Our last visit was Learning Star. We were warmly greeted by Carmelita. Her home was clean, inviting, and organized with a lot of books, toys, and activities. We left that visit feeling like we had just left a family member's house. My son joined Learning Star and looks forward to seeing his "Lola C" and friends. He has learned so much since attending. Carmelita is very communicative. She sends email updates, pictures, and videos throughout the day. She makes sure everyone provides updated records, she gives us the curriculum she has planned for the year. Knowing we are new to the area, she has given recommendations on restaurants amd sites to visit. She also checks in to see how we're doing and how my pre-teen daughter is adjusting. We feel so fortunate to have come across Learning Star. I couldn't imagine having our son anywhere else.

My son was going to another daycare in which he was not learning or developing due to the fact they child/ care provider ratio was very high. We decided to search for a new daycare when we came upon Learning star. My son has been going here for the last two years and he has made major strides in speech and development, and learning to be a kind respectful person. Mrs. Carmelita has always been great about feedback and we can always reach out to her if we have any questions about the daycare or our child. We Definitely recommend her.

Carmelita is phenomenal! My husband and I always felt assured that our daughter is being well taken care of. Carmelita is knowledgeable and experienced. She keeps her center safe, clean and organized. We started our daughter at 3months and we noticed her exceptional development. Everytime we pick up our daughter she leaves happy! We always appreciate the updates of our daughter throughout the day as well as the end of the day progress report. We also like that she limits the amount of children at at her daycare so that she can provide full attention to all. She does a great job of provding care and needs per child. Even if each child is different she uses great techniques to work with each child and for them to still cooperate together. It’s quite amazing how she is able to do this. Due to the pandemic, we took out our daughter at the age of 7 months and had a huge gap till she returned at 2 years old. We were nervous about our daughters adjustment returning back. Our daughter did cry at first but it was unbelievable how quickly our daughter adjusted. We think that due to the warmth and kindness of Carmelita, she did a great job making our daughter feel comfortable. We will be starting our second daughter in a few months and we are excited to watch both our children grow at Learning Star. We can’t imagine taking our children anywhere else. Thank you Carmelita for all you do. We are extremely blessed to have you involved in our children’s lives.

My child absolutely loves Learning Star. As a first time mom, I was more than a little anxious about leaving my son with a provider. I began looking at daycares/preschools while still pregnant just to make sure I would be able to fully be comfortable with the provider we chose. I couldn’t tell you how many providers I visited at the time (this was pre-pandemic). What struck me most about Learning Star was how the kids interacted with Carmelita. You could tell they respected her and she respected them. It felt like one big family. I almost thought it was too good to be true, so I sent my parents over to check it out as well! My son began daycare at 3 months old. Carmelita wrote us daily progress reports that detailed feeding and moods. She also discussed any milestones that he hit during the day. She really put our minds at ease as first time parents and always gave advice on any concerns we had at home. Now that he is a “big kid” (4 years old), she focuses on teaching him basic reading and math so that he will be prepared for school. During the pandemic closure, my son went to another daycare. Although he did well with academics, you could tell he didn’t enjoy doing the “work” and even asked not to have to go to school. Now that he’s back at learning star, you can really see the excitement at the end of the day when he learns something new. I truly cannot say how much we appreciate the work that Carmelita does. She has taught my son to have confidence in himself.

My husband and I feel very fortunate to have found Mrs. Carmelita at Learning Star Preschool for our daughter. From the moment we met her, Mrs. Carmelita has been nothing but warm and welcoming, and she continues to be so to this day. My daughter quickly warmed up to her, making drop off's with a toddler as pain free as possible. Mrs. Carmelita is also very communicative and provides me with details about my daughter's day, something that I truly appreciate. She eases both mine and my daughter's apprehensions! I like that her program is play-based, providing my daughter with the best of both worlds of learning and fun. Our daughter is absolutely thriving under her care. Thank you, Mrs. Carmelita, for all that you do!

Learning Star has been the best thing that has came into our family lives. My son loves attending Learning Star and what we love the most is, is that Mrs. Carmelita is a very caring, very straight forward and always looking for our sons best interests. Most day cares are very over crowded with not much helpers to attend every child’s needs. Learning Star is a smaller family daycare which I love because I know my son is getting the full attention he needs on a daily basis. I would recommend Learning Star to any family who is looking for child care for their children. You will not regret it, openings are limited so if you have a chance to get on the waiting list make sure to put your name down. Remember it’s not about quantity it’s about quality and you will receive that here with Mrs. Carmelita.
