Parent Reviews
This a delightful daycare facility with caring teachers who engage the kids with play, music, singing, dancing, and yoga. The older toddlers get to do crafts and also work on their alphabets. They do field trips to the zoo, Cal Academy of Sciences, as well as local parks. They provide the kids with interesting lunches that expand and refine their palette from Egyptian molokhieh to Chinese taro and rice stews. They celebrate the kids birthdays with mini cupcakes. They also offer parents nights out for additional pay (not sure if they still do) but they would host all the kids for dinner, movie, popcorn at the school and do a sleep over with the teachers while the parents go have a date night. It was magical. My daughter talks about her “baby” school to this day. We love them, they are part of our family.
Rasha and the team at Little Pharaohs are amazing. It is a small tight knit group of kids and they have so much fun. I am so impressed with all the art projects they do and my 2 year old is counting and learning her letters. They go to the park frequently and play outside every day it is a wonderful place.
Rasha and her team is absolutely fantastic. They engage the kids with all sorts of play based activities. Kids enjoy yoga, art and music. They go for field trips regularly like bay area discovery museum, cal academy, zoo etc. Rasha is one of the most positive and inspiring women I know! She has been such a positive influence on our son. We are lucky to be part of Little Pharaoh family. Highly recommend.
5++++++ Stars for Rasha and the Little Pharaohs team (I would leave 10 stars if I could :) ). Our daughter has thrived there since infancy (started at 3 months, she's now almost three y/o). We feel incredibly blessed to have found the Little Pharaohs community, it's absolutely top notch. No need to look elsewhere if you're in SF. They have great teacher:kid ratios, amazing staff, awesome home facility w/ a nice big private outdoor area, tons of special events and programming (like music class, yoga, and fields trips) + parents nights out and potlucks. Thank you Little Pharaohs!!!
Our daughter attended Little Pharaohs for over a year before we moved back to NY. During her time there she flourished and we found a wonderful community of kids, parents and most of all loving caregivers. The director Rasha and her teachers are expectational, caring and gentle w all the children. It’s been 8 months since we left SF and our daughter still speaks about the teachers and friends she made at Little Pharaohs. We couldn’t recommend Rasha, Samantha, and Jessica enough!
I highly recommend Little Pharaohs. The Director, Rasha, her assistant teachers, (Samantha, Jessica and Marwa) and all the other children and parents were like a second family to us for 3+ years. We were so sad to say goodbye when we moved to the East Bay. We couldn't have asked for a better first school experience for our two daughters. All the teachers are warm and inspire joyful learning. They are amazing women who clearly adore the children and treat them with love and respect. Rasha ensures all the kids enjoy every day with engaging activities like yoga, art and music classes, and (when safe) fieldtrips to local parks, libraries, the Cal Academy and the zoo. Rasha really focuses on social/emotional development and follows the children's interests with her curriculum. They have the lowest teacher to child ratio of any daycare or preschool that we know of. She also cooks a healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks daily, all included. She even offers monthly a parents' night out. She took care of our older daughter from 4 months old to 3.5 years, and our younger daughter from infancy to toddlerhood. Little Pharaohs is in a wonderful house with a yard in Excelsior, convenient to Bernal, Mission Terrace, Glen Park and Noe Valley. We were heartbroken to leave Little Pharaohs and couldn’t recommend it highly enough!
Our son has been attending Little Pharohs for almost a year. We cannot say enough good things about Rasha and the other teachers. When we started looking for daycares, we had no idea what we were looking for besides a clean facility and a good teacher / child ratio. When we met Rasha, it instantly felt right, and we are so happy we went with our gut. She has more energy than anyone I know and is unbelievably kind and welcoming. The programming and field trips she plans are fun and enriching, and her house is safe, bright, and full of love. I am always in awe of the loads and loads of delicious food she makes every day and often joke that I want to stay for breakfast when I drop our son off. However, what I think is most telling is the regular potlucks she hosts for current and past families. Everyone makes an effort to attend and it's wonderful to see how many families Rasha has worked with and touched over the years.
Our son has been attending Little Pharaohs for almost a year and a half (started when he was a little over 1) and we have been extremely happy with the program. Rasha creates a warm, safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for the children. There is the right mix of free play time, circle time, daily structured activities (e.g., Little Artistas, music class, yoga class, etc), and occasional field trips. There is also a great outdoor play area - not something easy to find in SF. Rasha also ensures the kids have healthy, organic, home-cooked food for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. It's amazing what she can get them to eat every day that they won't touch at home! Rasha and the teachers showers the children with love but also sets clear expectations and rules, which was very important for my son :) Most importantly - Rasha and her teachers clearly care deeply for the program and all the children. Rasha was always extremely understanding, accommodating, and willing to work together to figure out solutions that were most beneficial for the children and parents. I can't recommend Little Pharaohs enough!
My child has been very happy here. Rasha and the other teachers are dynamic, engaging and enthusiastic. The children go on adventures (zoo, academy of sciences), paint, participate in music and yoga, and eat nutritious food. We are delighted with our decision to join this childcare.
Rasha worked with me at a Center about 10 years ago and was absolute magic with babies! I am so glad to see she has a program of her own! Parents - I highly recommend Rasha! You will never be disappointed.
Our daughter attended for over 2 yrs and we all love it and our daughter has blossomed here. Daycare is located walking distance from GP Bart station and is close to Glen Park, Balboa, Bernal, Excelsior. Rasha, the provider, helped our daughter adjust to daycare, makes sure the children have a weekly field trips (discovery museum, cal academy, zoo), music classes, yoga classes, daily trips to the park/playgrounds...etc. Rasha has been an accommodating provider--making healthy vegetarian specifically for our daughter. More than anything, Rasha had become family. Without family living nearby, I'm happy that we have someone who loves my daughter and is reliable. I highly recommend this small home daycare.
