Parent Reviews
Our son started at LWM "little school" when he was 3 years old. He loved every day there. Mr Michael and the teachers make learning fun with crafts, art, sensory, and outdoor play, and gardening. Montessori work and philosophy is strong and woven throughout. We have been amazed at his growth over the last year now that we are at the "Big kid" school. His excitement about school, his achievements in writing drawing, and his feelings toward his friends and teachers is amazing to watch. Ms Galyna organizes cooking, baking, and cultural activities throughout the year that enrich the kids experience at school and in the world. Her joy at watching the kids fall in love with learning and each other is wonderful to experience as a parent. We will forever be thankful we found the perfect place for him to thrive.
We’ve had three kids go through Little Wonders Montessori, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The program strikes the right balance - Montessori work, structured learning, and plenty of free play. The kids get outdoor time every day, and the environment is warm, consistent, and thoughtfully run. The teachers are excellent, and there’s strong continuity year to year. We've had at least one child in their care for 10 consecutive years now and Ms. Galyna and Mr. Michael are basically honorary extended family at this point - they care deeply about each of the kids that go through their programs. What stands out most is the foundation the school provides. Our LWM graduates left well-prepared for elementary school - not just academically (reading, math basics, focus), but socially and emotionally. They’re confident, independent, and genuinely love learning, and they also know when to focus and follow instructions. We attribute a lot of that to the foundations set during their time at LWM. If you’re looking for a preschool that will set your kid up for long-term success, Little Wonders Montessori is a great option.
We couldn't be happier with our experience at Little Wonders Montessori! Our son has truly thrived in this nurturing environment. Every day, he comes home happy and excited. The teachers are amazing, each bringing their own unique approach to help each little one learn and grow while also letting them have fun. When our son started at 18 months old, we were extremely hesitant due to his age, but we were immediately put at ease by the attention and kindness the teachers provided. We highly recommend Little Wonders Montessori to anyone considering it for their child.
Our daughter has absolutely loved her two years at Little Wonders. Each day she is excited to go to school and comes home with stories of the wonderful projects and activities she got to do each day - e.g. themed activities linked to what they are learning such as making pasta when learning about Italy. Galyna and her staff nurture the children and teach them kindness, compassion, and fun on top of the great learning experiences. We could not be happier with our choice to send our daughter to Little Wonders! And, a quote from our daughter when asked what she likes about school: “thank you for choosing my school - I love my school!”
The teachers at LWM have been amazing. Our daughter started preschool with lots of big feelings, and they met her with patience and kindness. Over the last year and a half, our daughter has flourished in this environment. She loves going to school and often asks about school on her days off! We are also planning to enroll our son when he's old enough. I cannot recommend this school enough.
It’s a five star preschool! Our kids are really happy here and made many friends. The family-style school and high teacher to kids ratio gives our kids more individualized care and attention. The school is just like home. We love their philosophy of teaching which gives kids freedom in developing their own character, potential and interests. We love the teachers who are always very patient with the children and are very caring and loving. The school also has a very advanced curriculum which makes it easier when they attend Kindergarten. We highly recommend this school. Thank you Mr Michael and Ms Galyna and all the teachers in little and big school for making him the confident young boy he is today!
Little Wonders Montessori is an incredible school run by affectionate individuals who deeply care for the kids in their program. They provide unparalleled early childhood education that will set your kid up for a lifetime of independently motivated love of school and learning. LWM takes kids from 18 months through 5 years divided across a "younger kids" and "older kids" program at separate schools 6 blocks apart. The programs have a balance of structured preschool curriculum, independent Montessori work, and also plenty of time for free play (both schools have backyards with play spaces so the kids get outside time every day). They have an incredibly warm community feel and cultivate independence and confidence in the kids who attend. The programs are run by the most incredible husband/wife team who just celebrated 20 years of running the schools. All the other support teachers they have hired over the years have been incredible as well (and they have good retention with teachers staying on year-on-year). I have three children in their programs (1 graduate and 2 currently enrolled). All my kids are profoundly happy when they are at school. My eldest has thrived at elementary school thanks to the foundational skills he learned at LWM - both from an academic (reading/phonics/counting/etc.) and a social/emotional/self-reliance perspective. Honestly, we feel so lucky that we came upon them when we moved to the city. In addition to being an incredible school for our kids, we have also formed life-long friendships with some of the other families in the school community.
My 2 sons have both attended LWM from when they were 2yo until they entered Kindergarten. LWM has a unique curriculum of integrating Montessori as well as project-based learning (i.e. arts and crafts, science, and storytime). The small teacher-student ratio also gives enough attention to understand and grow each child's unique way to learn. My sons were able to write their names, read sight words and work on simple math by the time they graduated and were very ahead of their Kindergarten class. They were also socially and emotionally well prepared as the school developed a very safe and loving space for them. We love the school and the community it has developed and cannot recommend it enough.
My son has been going to LWM since August and we couldn't be happier. All of the teachers and especially Ms. Galyna are loving and caring with all of the kids. The learning is fun, science has been one of my son's favorites, and we're amazed by the growth he's showing in reading, writing, and counting. The food is organic, which we really appreciate, and the space is clean, well organized, and covid safe. Having experienced other pre schools, this is hands down the best experience. We're lucky to have found LWM.
Little Wonders is the best for my two kids and we have been in both programs. The teachers are all very caring and my kids are eager to go to school every morning. The curriculum is very well rounded and also individualized based on the child's age and maturity. There is a lot of hands-on projects and learn from playing. Every evening, the kids tell us the wonderful things they have done at Little Wonders, e.g. music, yoga, science experiments, and stories, etc. There are also theme parties year round to learn cultures around the world and nature. My kids love baking with Ms. Galyna the best, yummy! And of course the school's home-made hot meals are always a hit for the kids. We could not have asked for a better preschool
Little Wonders has been amazing for both of my kids! We couldn’t be happier with Mr. Michael and Ms.Galyna and the wonderful teachers at Little Wonders. During the pandemic it has been a challenging decision for all parents whether or not to send our kids to in person school. As a registered nurse it is crucial that the safety of our community is a priority. Little wonders has put in place protocols to protect our kids and the teachers. There is daily screening with temperature checks upon arrival, all teachers are masked throughout the day and they do frequent hand washing with the kids. We are forever grateful for Little Wonders and could not recommend them enough!
We love Little Wonders! We started to research for day care when my daughter was 2. When we met Mr. Michael from little school, we knew this is the school we want to send our daughter. Both Mr. Michael and Ms. Galyna have many years of experience in the education field. They are very knowledgeable with how to work with kids and bring the best potential out of them. We are first time parents and they were so patient with all of our questions and provide great support. They created a very safe and loving environment for the kids to learn and bond with each other, my daughter has made so many great friends at the school, we are so blessed to have found Little Wonders. My daughter is 4 now and has been at Little Wonders for 2 years. She constantly come home and tells me she wish she can stay at this school forever because she love her school so much. The school has average of 10-12 kids and 2 teachers + school director. It's a great student to teacher ratio. They also have a great educational curriculum, a good balance of montessori and Pre-K. Bottom line, we couldn't be happier!!
