I cannot say enough good things about Mama Luz's -- there were tears when we said goodbye, and not just from the toddler. Children here are not just cared for, they are loved and celebrated.   As soon as we met Mama Luz and saw the spotless and joyful home, we were sold on having them care for our then-six-month old.  Along with outdoor space, there are two rooms to separate the infants and toddlers so each gets the type of engagement they need. They're also great at knowing the children as individuals -- we routinely got reports about how our child was growing and maturing as a small person, not just as a napper-eater-diaper machine (though we got that too). My child came home singing songs and glowing that they supported his obsession with letters. They were also free with advice when we asked them how to handle things at home, and they worked with us to troubleshoot the inevitable struggles of a growing baby. And, of course, they were impeccable at the basics of keeping our child safe, clean, fed, and rested. On a more practical side, we were delighted with how smoothly the administrative pieces ran. We never had to stress about the paperwork, it was all professional and sound.  I know we aren't alone, because there were a number of families who were reupping with a second child after having a great experience with the first. Highly recommend!

My husband and I came to Mama Luz Family Daycare when our daughter was 7 months old. At first (after being at home full-time with a little one), it was difficult to separate. But Luz and her team were understanding, and we worked together until everyone was comfortable with the new routine. Our daughter loved to play with other children in their safe and nurturing care environment. They also made learning fun for her. Another reviewer said their child was treated as an extension of Mama Luz's family, and in our case, we certainly found that to be true. We are incredibly grateful to have found this wonderful team.

Kind and hard working family that took great care of our daughter. Communication was fantastic anytime I needed something or had a question they were extremely responsive. Their home is very clean and well taken care of. My daughter enjoyed going to Mama Luz family day care and she learned a lot - numbers, letters, arts and crafts, riding a tricycle, singing, dancing, etc. She started out as an infant and ended up going until she was 3. She still mentions fun memories she had at mama Luz’s house. I have recommended mama luz to two of my neighbors and I know they are also having very happy and positive experiences.

My son has been attending Mama Luz Family Daycare since he was 3 months old. He is currently almost two and half and still enrolled. The staff is friendly, helpful and clearly very loving. The place is very clean. My son honestly usually returns to me cleaner than when I dropped him off in the morning. My son is happy and never has any issues being dropped off. It's like he's at his second home. He's singing songs to me at home, so I know they have been learning and playing all day.

I’ve sent two kids to Mamá Luz’s (one of them is currently there). My first daughter went from 12 weeks til she was almost 4 and it was the most loving, happy, safe place that I could’ve picked to send my child. I was recommended Luz by my sister who also sent her kids there, and ended up with a community of friends from the kids who my daughter met. When she was an infant she showed up never having taken a bottle and refusing to sleep without being held. This caused me a lot of anxiety in putting her into a daycare, but Luz and Leidy were so supportive and caring and PATIENT and never made me feel like I was handing them a difficult child that probably took so much extra care. I still attribute her ability to nap and take a bottle to Leidy and Luz. As she got older, she would always come home so excited to tell me about all the time she spent outside, the arts and crafts she did, and the dances she learned. It was a complete no-brainer to send my second here when I went off of maternity leave and I had the exact same experience around feeling so happy with my child’s care. I know she’s loved, nurtured, and happy at Luz’s. I’ve recommended it to friends and will definitely be doing so again.
