Parent Reviews
In our quest for a different daycare, my husband and I had certain expectations about the kind of care we wanted for our two-year-old son. We decided to see what the KinderCare in Millard was all about and after one visit with the Director, all our expectations were certainly exceeded. Their curriculum is chock full of different ways for the children to learn--and have fun while they are learning. The teachers are actively engaged with the children each day and make it a point to keep the parents informed on what children are learning, how they are progressing, and the fun activities they did for the day. When I drop my son off, I don't have to worry because I know he is in great hands, he's having fun, and most importantly, he's learning!
I have been bringing my children to Millard KinderCare for a little over four years now and I am so thankful to have found such a great place. I have developed strong relationships with the staff. They do a wonderful job keeping parents informed and the lines of communication open. As a single mother of twins, they have always been willing to work with me on payments if I happen to be running low on funds for a month. They inform me about events going on in the community that might help out or be fun for my family. KinderCare also has a wonderful summer program filled with fun activities and field trips. I feel that KinderCare offers my children several educational opportunities and a great environment to explore. I am so grateful to have found a place that I feel comfortable and trust to take care of my children while I’m at work. Thank you, KinderCare!
What do you look for in a daycare? That is a loaded question, because each one of us as parents is looking for something a little different. First off there are the basics--look around and what do you see? At Millard KinderCare, you will see total involvement of all teachers and children--not once have I seen a child who was off playing alone. What types of interactions are happening all around, not just with the babies? All age groups are involved in playing activities, reading, or games. There is no TV-watching at KinderCare; it's all interactive. Ask about staff turnover...this is important because your children do get attached to people. Most of the same people are still working for KinderCare from the time my boys first came four-and-a-half years ago. Be involved....ask how your kids are doing. KinderCare's staff is wonderful when it comes time for communication about my children. As soon as I walk into each one of my boys’ classrooms, a teacher fills me in on their day. The most important thing I looked for in a daycare was that my children would be cared for and not just "looked after." My boys love their teachers and it is obvious to me their teachers love them. Not a day goes by that my youngest doesn't go to each and every one of his teachers for a hug good-bye. I wouldn't take my boys anywhere else!
