Parent Reviews
Mindful Sprouts is a true hidden gem in Los Angeles. It beautifully blends elements of Waldorf, RIE, and other child-centered philosophies into a warm, intentional environment. The children spend much of their day outdoors exploring the garden, observing nature, and engaging in creative activities like painting, art, STEAM play, and open-ended free play. Roza and her team take a deeply personalized approach, thoughtfully tailoring each child’s experience to their individual needs and interests. The group is mixed-age, which creates such a special dynamic, and they’re very intentional about meeting each child where they are. My son is one of the oldest, and they really take that into consideration by designing activities and a separate layer of programming that challenges and engages him at his level. You can genuinely feel the care and attention given to every child, especially when it comes to their social and emotional development. The nutrition is just as impressive. Meals are wholesome and thoughtfully prepared, with organic vegetables, fruits, grains, and protein, honestly better than what most of us manage at home. What makes the space feel especially magical is the rhythm woven throughout the day. Transitions are guided by gentle songs, creating a sense of flow and calm. And after meals, the children pause to express gratitude for the food and the universe that provided it, such a beautiful, grounding practice. It truly is a special place where children feel seen, nurtured, and inspired.
My 4-year old has been attending Mindful Sprouts for 2 years now, and he loves it! Roza and staff have been so caring and attentive to his leaning. They provide him educational and engaging activities that are Waldorf inspired. There’s no screen time which is very important to my wife and me. Plus, they feed him very nutritious organic food for snacks and lunch. If you’re looking for a small caretaker-to-child ratio in a very homey environment, I highly recommend Mindful Sprouts!
Our experience with this childcare has been wonderful. My son has been attending for over a year now, and I’ve seen so much positive growth in him during this time. The staff are caring, attentive, and truly dedicated to the children’s development. Teacher Rosa is amazing, and the activities are very well organized. The children are always engaged in something interesting and educational, which I really appreciate. My son is always excited to go and comes home happy. I feel confident every day knowing he is in a safe and nurturing environment. I highly recommend this childcare to any parent looking for a reliable and supportive place for their child.
We’ve had such a wonderful experience with this daycare over the past year. My son started at just 18 months old, and from day one, I truly felt like I was leaving him with family, which makes all the difference. The environment is calm, nurturing, and screen-free, with a beautiful balance of structure and creativity. The children spend their days doing art, music, circle time, and hands-on learning, along with plenty of outdoor play, getting dirty, exploring nature, and discovering plants and insects. I especially love the gentle nap routine with a little meditation and story time beforehand. Throughout the day, I also receive sweet photos, which means so much when you’re missing your little one. My son has grown tremendously here. He’s become more independent, and the teachers have been so supportive, even helping us start potty training and celebrating those milestones with us. Roza, the owner and main teacher, is incredibly patient, calm, and loving and the kids absolutely adore her. Most importantly, my son is happy, safe, and excited to go every day. We’re so grateful to have found such a peaceful, caring place.
