Montessori childcare program serving children and families in the Chesapeake area. Curriculum is taught based on the scientific approach of Dr. Montessori. Children develop order, coordination, self-independence, kindness, respect, and calm from a very young age. Guided by trained teachers, students are encouraged to use creative thinking and are assisted in the development of emerging self-learning. Individualized learning plans and numerous hands-on projects support key knowledge that students encounter. Hands-on experience is provided with botany and zoology through access to a private farm that affords the opportunity and experience with nature and outdoor learning. Daily schedule includes working on practical life and self-help skills, sensory-based activities, science, technology, math, arts, literacy, language development, social skills, and more. Children also participate in enrichment activities, including gym, nature walks, and gardening.
