Parent Reviews
Teacher Bonnie (and her assistant, Teacher Robin) have been so invaluable to our family this past year as it was our son's first year of preschool. He was a little slower to warm up in the beginning of the school year and has some sensitivities to new environments with lots of loud commotion and large groups and Teacher Bonnie was beyond helpful and eager to help him get acclimated in his own time. She would suggest ways we could help him and provide clear communication/updates throughout the school days when we'd be anxious to hear his progress. Most importantly, she really took his feelings and his experience seriously and respected them and made sure he felt safe first! He's been thriving ever since and loves his classmates and his teachers and is super eager to learn. He just needed more time and I'm forever grateful that Teacher Bonnie and Teacher Robin took the TIME to meet him where he was and show so much LOVE and CARE in the process of him getting comfortable. When the "Safer At Home" order kicked in, Teacher Bonnie did not miss a beat! She prepared videos over the weekend to have them ready for their next school day and scheduled Zoom circle time classes. Teacher Robin reads stories and records them for extra storytimes and has virtual field trips that she finds for the kids to enjoy. They have virtual circle times (with singing, dancing, reading, lessons, etc), themed "play rooms" in smaller (moderated) groups so they can keep in touch with their friends, as well as some art sessions. Homework packets are also emailed every week with printouts and activities for the kids. Overall, you can sense right away that Teacher Bonnie is definitely doing what she is MEANT to be doing because of her sincere love and enthusiasm she has for the kids and for teaching them valuable skills to prepare them for life and for kindergarten. She goes well above and beyond to serve them and engage them, enriching all parts of their lives as children. And not only them, but THE PARENTS, too! She spends time checking in on the mamas to see how we're doing and sends such encouraging messages to us as a group. You really feel like part of a family and most importantly that your child is being well loved, cared for, and educated!
