We attended My Sugar Hill for about 8 years between both our kids. Miss Shari is family to us. My son stayed in her care from 6 months until he started TK where he transitioned without any issue academically or behaviorally. My daughter began at 4 months until she was 4 years old and began preschool. On Saturdays, she grabs her shoes because she wants to go to Shari's house and gets upset when we tell her it is the weekend and we are staying home. Shari makes great meals for the kids and I know my daughter is well loved in her care. What is most important to me about child care is knowing my children are safe and loved and I never have to worry about them when they are under Shari's care. Other bonuses to Sugarhill Daycare: * Shari runs a pre-school type program in the mornings. Most in-home providers do NOT offer this service. * The babies get to sleep in their own room. Most in-home providers have all the babies/kids napping together, which means less sleep/nap time for everyone. * She has cribs. All the other providers I visited only had Pack-n-Plays. I think this helped with the transition better. * She provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks. My kids LOVE her food and still ask for it! * When time permits, Shari sends photos throughout the day * Kids need structure and routine and Shari gets them on a schedule and adjusted to her care typically within two weeks.

My son has attended Sugar Hill for the last year and a half and he gets so excited to go to Shari’s every single day. My son started when he was 6 months old and he is now 2 years old and from the day he started we saw how much he was learning. Shari quickly got him on a schedule and started introducing so many awesome foods to his diet. He is not a picky eater and he will try anything which makes meal time so much easier. I love that they have reading time, playing with puzzles, color and draw, sing songs, and play with blocks on top of so many other activities. When the weather is nice they play outside and in the water which is so fun! I feel so comfortable everyday when we drop off our son at Sugar Hill knowing he is having the best time, learning, and in the best care.
