Our experience with Northeast LA Forest School has been nothing short of incredible. Both of my children, ages 3 and 5, absolutely love going—they look forward to it every morning, which says so much as a parent. What I appreciate most is how grounded they become through their time there. They come home calmer, more connected, and genuinely engaged with the world around them. It’s amazing to see how much meaningful knowledge they’re gaining about nature—not just facts, but real understanding and confidence in the outdoors. After just our first year, our oldest was able to guide our entire family on a beautiful hike completely on his own, using what he had learned at school. That moment really showed us how impactful this program is. The teachers are truly kind, patient, and deeply caring. You can feel how much they love what they do and how much they respect and support each child as an individual. It creates such a safe and nurturing environment. We feel so grateful to be part of this community and couldn’t recommend Northeast LA Forest School more highly.
