Description provided by the business.A licensed Small Family Child Care Home in Laguna Hills for infants and toddlers 9–48 months. Six children, the same two caregivers every day, and a real house instead of a classroom. Meals are cooked here from whole foods and included in tuition. Days are screen-free and unhurried, built on open-ended play rather than worksheets, with development tracked through the ASQ-3 and DRDP. Shannon, our licensee, has completed 12 ECE units — what California asks of a teacher in a licensed center — and worked in one with infants and toddlers before opening Ocean Breeze.

Parent Reviews
After having a me the owners of Ocean Breeze, I immediately felt comfortable and welcomed. I was also impressed by so many aspects of the daycare- from the cleanliness of the home to how genuinely wonderful Armin and Shannon are as people. They are kind, endearing, passionate, caring, and loving. The amount of words I could use to describe them is endless. I have toured many daycares and have never felt this level of comfort after just one meeting. I instinctively felt like this was the place I wanted for my daughter. After her first few days, I already knew that she was being well taken care of. I have had negative experiences with childcare in the past, so I have always been cautious about who I trust to look after her, as I think any parent would be. There are so many things I love here. The first is that it is in a warm, safe home. There is plenty of space for her to play and roam safely, and it doesn't feel like a typical classroom-style setting. My daughter is only 2, and I feel so much better knowing that she's being cared for in a home rather than being dropped off somewhere that probably feels like a scary classroom to her. My 2nd favorite thing is the app that we use everyday. We connect through BrightWheel, which is honestly the most amazing app ever. It allows me to pay for her care quickly with one simple touch of a button, message directly, and also receive updates about everything happening throughout her day. I am notified of every meal, every diaper change, every potty attempt (because they offer potty training too), every nap, and every activity, along with pictures and videos. When my older kids were in daycare, they came home with diaper rashes quite often because they weren't being changed as often as they should've been. Having this kind of update system gives me so much peace of mind because I can actually see that my daughter is being cared for well. My daughter is the youngest of 3 and has two older brothers who are nine and seven. Because of that, she hasn't adequately learned how to share or play gently. One of the biggest things I've noticed after some time being here- is that her temperament has completely changed when she comes back home. She is more gentle with her brothers, less fussy when it comes to toys, and more affectionate with me and my fiancé. Generally, she just seems like a happier little girl, and to me that speaks volumes. Another thing that means so much is seeing all of the activities that she gets to do. I know she isn't just sitting in front of a TV all day. I see that she spends her days learning, dancing, painting, playing, doing sensory activities, going for walks, and so much more. Additionally, I love seeing that she is being given healthy meals. She is normally a quite picky eater at home and doesn't always eat very much. Here, she isn't eating the same processed thing everyday, she is getting actual, home-cooked, healthy meals. I see pictures of what her plate looks like before and after. (Ummm.. Amazing!) She tries more different foods here than she even does at home. I'm proud that she is expanding her palette while also being fed so well. She definitely isn't eating her vegetables at home! One moment that stands out to me the most happened when I was picking her up one day. As we were leaving she called Shannon "Auntie", waved to her, and said "I love you!". It was genuinely heartwarming to see and hear because it showed me that she isn't only being treated like family, but she feels like family too. I would absolutely recommend Ocean Breeze Daycare to anyone looking for a place to bring their child. The motto here is essentially that your child becomes part of their family as well, and I have personally seen proof that they are truly treated that way. I couldn't be happier to find a place like this for my daughter. I truly, truly feel blessed. Thank you, Armin and Shannon for everything you do and for being the amazing people that you are!
