Description provided by the business. We are a small, play-based preschool nestled in a charming old building with a large yard in Laurel Heights. We believe children learn best when given ample time to play, explore their interests, experiment, solve problems, and work together. Our teachers are skilled play facilitators, guiding children through their social interactions and relationships to help build their sense of self, communication and collaboration skills, and sense of belonging within a community.

Parent Reviews
Our family has been a part of the One Fifty Parker Avenue School community since 2015 when our eldest entered the 3-year-olds' program and were lucky enough to have a second child so that we could stick around for a few more years. The teachers are incredible in their level of experience, their intense commitment to supporting the children and their enthusiasm around continued professional development. We visibly could see our children's growth in self-confidence, resiliency, independence and empathy over their preschool years, a result of the teaching staff both being responsive to their needs as children and also providing the space to allow for the children to recognize their own capabilities and knowing when to give them a little push to challenge them. The families we met at Parker are still some of our best friends; though our daughter is now heading into middle school, when she sees her old Parker buddies, it's like no time was lost, and their time together is all smiles and giggles. Preschool seems like such a quick blip on the radar in a person's lifetime, but the experience truly can set them up for success down the road. We are so grateful to Parker School and all of the incredible teachers, families and children we have been so fortunate to know during our time there.
