Parent Reviews
My daughter has been at PVCS since February 2023, starting when she was about 18 months old, and we have absolutely loved our experience. The teachers are wonderful, communication through the Brightwheel app is excellent, and the staff is always flexible and accommodating. Most importantly, SHE loves her school. She has made real friendships (which has also brought me new friendships as well), loves her teachers and she gets upset when we pick her up “too early”. PVCS is truly part of our village as two working parents. Highly recommend to any family looking for a nurturing and supportive school.
We love PVCS! The staff are all so wonderful and loving. The owner, Ryan, and Debbie, the Office Manager, have been so approachable and helpful whenever I've needed anything. The teachers couldn't be more lovely! They truly get to know your child, care about them, and plan engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for each class. I love that the teachers take pictures of the kids and activities they work on during the day and post pictures to the Brightwheel app. As a working parent who doesn't do pick up/drop off, it's nice to feel like I know what my kids are doing throughout the day and who their teachers are, even though I'm rarely at school. The school also plans different events for families to attend throughout the year to help families get to know each other. Both of my kids have loved going to PVCS! Highly recommend to any families in the area looking for a quality preschool.
I can’t say enough good things about this school. The teachers are so warm and caring, the kids have so much room and freedom to grow and play but they also learn such valuable skills from people who truly care about them! I have one graduate and one soon to attend and can’t recommend enough.
PVCS has been the biggest blessing to our family these last 3 years. The family and close knit feel of this school is unmatched. Every staff member and teacher knows our son and has nurtured him and helped him thrive! He loves school and loves his friends and teachers and never complains about going. It goes to show a lot when most of the lead teachers, director and owner have been with this school for a lot of years :) Every year has been such an easy transition and we love getting photos and updates throughout the day through the Brightwheel app. Having a school and environment that has met our son where he is at every year has been such a relief. We started searching for a school/daycare for our son when he was 14 months old and he was still taking a bottle and used a pacifier and most other daycares said both of those items were not allowed. PVCS allowed our son to have what he needed to be successful and comfortable and helped us through every transition - no bottle, no pacifier, potty training, no nap, and now has helped him transistion into a developmental preschool for his speech development. We cannot say enough amazing things about this school and will recommend it to anyone who asks us. Thank you PVCS!
My husband and I cannot even begin to express how positive our experience has been with Paradise Valley Cooperative School. PVCS has been a second home to our three boys over the last 6 years, all of whom attended since they were toddlers and continuing through Pre-K. This daycare provides an incredible, nurturing environment that feels like an extension of our family for our boys. We love the play-based approach, which makes learning fun and natural, and the small community feel truly sets this place apart, with dedicated teachers who form genuine bonds with the children and are always communicative with us parents. Our sons are thriving, happy, and have developed wonderful social and emotional skills thanks to the warm, supportive atmosphere and the deep care shown by the entire staff. Both of our older boys, who have already finished out their Pre-K year, were beyond ready for Kindergarten and this was definitely reflected in their first year of elementary school. There is not a lot of turnover from a teacher standpoint, and many of the lead classroom teachers have been there for ten years or more. The new owners have also done substantial updates at the school, both inside and out, since taking over several years ago. The school has a more fresh, modernized and secure feel, including amazing new playground equipment and shade structures. We highly recommend PVCS to anyone looking for childcare. This special place is such a hidden gem!
I really can't say enough good things about this school, the teachers and all of the staff. From our first inquiry for a tour to where we are now, all has been a 5 star experience. Coming home from our tour, we knew this school was going to be hard to beat. They set the bar high and we just knew it was what we wanted for our kiddos. Our kiddo cried on the way home because he "wanted to stay and play at that school!" If that isn't what every parent wants to see, I don't know what is. A rave review from a 2 year old! Our kids come home from school happy every day. They tell us so many stories about friends and teachers. They always talk about fun activities, experiences, books, songs, dancing... More than I could think of providing on my own at home. Since attending PVCS I have heard my children's vocabulary improve, proudly watched them become more independent, and laughed with them on the playground as they become more social with others! It's important to us that our kids love the school environment and we feel like PVCS really sets a strong foundation for this. The kids are allowed to play outside multiple times per day. We loved this because our kids have a lot of energy!! And I should also add that the playground & outside play area here really impressed us as well. It just seemed to have a lot of variety and options for kids. Much more than I have seen at any other school to be honest. Check-in and check-out is quick and easy with a tablet in the lobby. Many updates are provided to parents through an app and this makes it easy to keep everything sorted in one place. Snack is provided for the kids, which is SO helpful! Lunch is served (we pack it) before pick-up time, which is wonderful for bringing our kids home and putting down for a nap without needing to give them a snack first! (At least when they are napping age....) This school has extremely reasonable tuition rates compared to a lot of other schools we toured as well. Lastly, I want to end with the "icing on the cake" for me. The communication at PVCS is top notch. This is something I HIGHLY value personally. It's hard to find a place that meets my standards, let alone exceeds them. I'm always blown away by how quickly I get email responses to my concerns/questions. But even more blown away by the detail and time that is clearly put into answers. It feels very personalized when I get reports about how my kids are doing. I can tell that they know my kids and love them. A special shout out to Ms. Lynda (Two's class teacher). She is always so friendly and conversational in her emails, which can be hard to achieve! She never makes me feel like I am a bother for writing in. In fact, she goes out of her way to give extra information that might be helpful or fun to know. I spent a lot of time writing with many questions when we were new to the school with my very first baby being away from me for the very first time! ;-) The school has recently changed ownership (and names!). I am so happy to say that the school has only gotten better since then, which was hard to believe was possible at first! You can tell that the staff is happy here and that the school is taken great care of with these owners. There have been many improvements to the classroom, the technology, the organization, the playground and I'm sure much behind the scenes as well! I could go on and on. But I will end by saying that if you are researching local preschools, you will definitely want to have PVCS on your list. Please go take a tour and see for yourself. This is now our fifth year at PVCS. It is a second home for our children and we truly do not believe there is another school that could do this job better.
