Our son started preschool at 2 years old, and at the time, we were concerned about how his experience might be, given that he was born at the beginning of Covid and had mostly been home with my husband and I. However, he was lucky enough to be in Carole's class at Au Beau Sejour in Oakland, and he had a wonderful first exposure to the classroom and experience with school, largely in part because of her. And for this, we are so appreciative. Within a week of going to a new school, with a new language, our son would barely turn around when we dropped him off, excited about the actives planned for the day. While we would receive photos daily of their ongoings throughout the day, Carole would also give us a detailed updated at the end of each day at pick up. Carole is attentive, kind, patient, open and communicative. She genuinely cares for all of her students, and through play based and academic approaches, lays a foundation for a child's education starting from the early developmental years. We are fortunate to have stayed in touch with Carole through the years, and now we call her a friend. We've since moved abroad, and after not seeing Carole for over a year, when she came to visit us, our son was over the moon to see her. We're so excited for her to start her new venture, a daycare of her own!
