San Francisco High School of the Arts is an independent college-preparatory school serving grades 6–12 that integrates rigorous academics with pre-professional training in the visual and performing arts. The academic program includes 19 AP courses and 20 honors-level courses, and the school has earned the AP School Honor Roll Platinum distinction, awarded to only 6% of eligible schools in the U.S. and Canada. Arts offerings include a Dance Conservatory training in classical ballet and Chinese dance, a Music Conservatory, musical theatre, and visual arts. The school is also one of the few Art Renewal Center (ARC) approved high schools in the world.
