Parent Reviews
My experience with this daycare has been deeply concerning and disappointing, especially regarding the care of my son. The environment often feels chaotic, with older kids—some appearing to be as old as 13—essentially running the place. Over the months I have observed unsafe behavior repeatedly, even during times I was present. For instance, one older child was performing the splits between two chairs in plain sight of the two daycare staff members, the owner, Sarahi Becerra, and her mother, Ms. Becerra, while they were speaking to me. This is just one of many examples of the lack of supervision that concerns me as a parent. The facility often has 8-15 kids of varying ages, from newborns to teenagers, and it is clear the staff struggles to manage this wide range. Older children are allowed to control the TV, and on multiple occasions, I witnessed inappropriate content being played. Videos that included cussing, twerking, and music inappropriate for younger children were on while toddlers and young kids were present. This lack of oversight directly affects the younger kids, including my son, who has mirrored behaviors like pushing and taking toys due to what he has observed there. My son, who listens well at home, has picked up bad habits that I attribute to the lack of discipline and structure in this daycare. The lack of supervision has also led to physical harm. My son fell and gashed the back of his head while climbing on a play structure that should have been monitored. When I asked the staff where they were at the time, they explained they were attending to other children. It was disheartening to hear this, as younger children, especially two-year-olds, require constant supervision to prevent such incidents. Their response was dismissive, with the owner stating that other two-year-olds don’t climb or disobey, as if this somehow justified the lack of attention my son received. This is unacceptable for any childcare setting. There have also been ongoing issues with diaper rashes for both my son and daughter, which I believe stem from neglect. Despite raising concerns with the staff multiple times over several months, the problems either went unresolved or continued to occur. Only about 20% of the issues I brought to their attention were ever addressed meaningfully. This pattern shows a lack of accountability and seriousness in addressing parental concerns. The final straw came after the head injury incident. My son’s mother and I expressed our discomfort with the lack of supervision and shared that we were actively looking for new childcare arrangements. Initially, the owner agreed and assured us we could continue bringing our children until we found a replacement. However, only a few hours later, when I returned to pick up my daughter, she abruptly terminated our childcare agreement. Her justification was rooted in how we had expressed our concerns earlier. This response felt incredibly unprofessional and immature, especially given the serious nature of the concerns we raised. When I tried to have a conversation about this, she escalated the situation further, arguing and deflecting responsibility for nearly 20 minutes. It is evident that this daycare is operating more as mass babysitting than as a professional childcare environment. The owner’s inexperience and inability to manage the demands of the children under her care have resulted in a space that feels unsafe and unstructured. While the decor of the daycare may be nice, it is clear that attention to safety, discipline, and proper supervision has not been prioritized. If you cannot provide adequate care and attention for all children, especially those who may require a bit more supervision, then this is not the right environment for those children. I hope this review helps other parents make informed decisions about where to entrust the care of their children.
