Description provided by the business.We are a small school providing excellent care for children. There are two adults always present. We provide comprehensive care to ensure the physical, social, and academic growth of each child. We have a structured curriculum inclusive of a preschool program for 2 to 5-year-olds complete with circle time, themes, arts and crafts, music, outside play, and pretend play. We encourage positive interaction between the children in our care by setting reasonable limits and gentle reminders. We take pride in the work we do and it shows in the development of the children as well as the referrals we get.

My son has been with Smita for the last three years. She has taught him so much and shown him love and care. He has flourished during his time with her. Smita has excellent communication with parents and provides enriching, exciting activities for the children. She also provides the children with healthy lunches and snacks which has been so helpful to me as a busy mom. My son has been going to Little Gems for almost a year now and I've been very happy with our experience. Ms. Smita and Najara are very caring and provide the children with a lot of fun, engaging activities. I look forward to watching him grow over the years from what he learns at "school"!
We had a wonderful experience at Little Gems - known to my boys as "Ms. Smita's schoolhouse." Each day brought fun, friendship, stories and crafts and a real sense of community and connection. It was truly a second home for my children. I have recommended Little Gems to many friends and colleagues and will continue to do so!
Our daughters were at Little gems from when they were 3 months up until they went to Kindergarten. They are 5 and 8 today and we are joyful witnesses to all of Ms.Smita’s hard work specifically around their social emotional behavior in school, their ability to read above grade level, their ability to grab math concepts easily, and most importantly to be kind and respectful. Given the smaller group that she has, she gave each and every child the attention they needed, be it for learning colors, shapes, pretend play, or toilet training. She indulged in their innocence and stressed the importance of having fun while learning! There was never a day our kids did not want to go and she gave us the peace of mind that our children were safe and happy. Ms.Smita also gives the parents a listening ear, which as a first time mom, was so comforting. We are lucky to have her as an integral part of our lives; our girls still have find memories and we go back and visit any chance we get.
Smita was our daycare provider for all three of our children, over a span of 10 years. Our children were well cared for, taught accountability, loved and educated. All of our children are successful in school, sports and friendships based on the foundation that Smita helped us provide our children. We continue to keep in touch and visit when we can, as she is still considered family.
