Parent Reviews
Our family joined South Mustang KinderCare in March of 2013 when our son had just turned two years old. We were looking for a daycare facility that was closer to our home and that would provide a safe place for learning and growth for our son. Some of the things that have impressed us with KinderCare are the supportive nature of the staff, teachers, and leadership. The quality education they've provided and their ability to respond quickly and appropriately to questions and concerns is truly wonderful. Our son has always been a bit uncomfortable with big changes, so the welcoming staff at KinderCare supported us with the process of him changing schools in numerous ways. First, the Director at the time allowed for several visits to his room before his first day. He and I visited a couple of times and spent 20-30 minutes in his room, which allowed him to become familiar with his classroom and his teachers before the start date. With such a big change, our son had some separation anxiety at drop-off for the first few weeks, but the teachers and staff were supportive and helped him through the anxiety by always greeting him with a smile and positivity. Now at five years old, I cannot remember the last time he was not happy about coming to school to see his teachers and friends. A good education has always been important to our family, and the KinderCare team has supplemented the learning that we provide at our home by bringing structured classroom learning and learning through play to our son's education. We have always been impressed with the education our son has received while attending KinderCare--from standard educational items like letters, numbers, colors, and patterns to creating strong social bonds with friends. We feel that our son is well-prepared to start kindergarten in the fall. We have also always been happy with the sense of community between ourselves and teachers at KinderCare. The saying that it takes a village to raise a child is echoed in the responsiveness of the staff at KinderCare. They have always been willing to meet with us to discuss questions or concerns and we have worked together as a team to determine the best options for our son. This facility wants parents to always feel involved in their child's learning through regular parent/teacher conferences, and feedback on achievements at school. The staff and teachers have enhanced our "village" with a team approach to learning and guiding our son toward a positive school experience.
In 2012, we knew we needed to quickly find somewhere to take the two boys due to work conflicts. She started calling centers close to her work. The first call was to South Mustang KinderCare and they told us they could get us in with no problems. She brought them the next day, and was met by staff that was helpful in getting the kids where they needed to go and helping get the paperwork ready. We now have our third child going here. The oldest has moved on to public school and is doing wonderfully thanks to the education he got at this center. The youngest two are still attending and they love to go to school every day. Our middle child will be starting public school soon and we believe he will be way ahead of the others from the learning opportunities he has gotten at KinderCare. The staff is invested in helping each child to become the best he or she can be. They also care about every child and from what we have seen is all the children love them too. We are so happy that we called KinderCare first, and can be a part of the KinderCare family.
Our family could not have been more blessed when faced with a last-minute, emergency situation of having no child care for our girls. My husband made one phone call and South Mustang KinderCare took our kiddos in the very next day, with no hassles and the most welcoming entry. When we started at KinderCare, we had just recently found out that our one-year-old (now two) was allergic to just about 90% of all foods. KinderCare did not flinch at the challenging situation, but took it head on and has stayed on top of it to this day. Every teacher has loved and treated our girls as their own and our school-age child begs to go there on out-of-school days. In a hard situation of having to trust your children's lives with others, every day, all day; KinderCare has made it exceptionally relieving and less stressful to do so
