Founded in 1989 Special Beginnings serves the community at four locations in Johnson County. Through the Funshine Express Curriculum and added Bible Stories, children have a balance of play, socialization, and pre-academics to explore and learn through art, music, language, science, cooking, movement, and dramatic play. We believe that parents are our partners and together we will create lasting relationships.

My son started at Special Beginnings at 8 weeks old and we can't say enough about the staff there. We were impressed from the start with the caring staff and as he progressed through to Preschool, Ms. Maria in Pre-4 and Ms. Rochelle in Pre-K have a well built curriculum that builds on each other to more than prepare the kids for Kindergarten. While making learning fun and instilling a love of learning, my son is excelling in reading and math thanks to the basic foundation he received from these wonderful teachers.
My family and I are so blessed to have found SB. They are like family and my kids that have since graduated from there still remember and love their memories. They made long lasting friendships and I have met some pretty awesome families that I call my friends. My kids well being is my top priority and I don't ever question their health or safety while at SB. I highly recommend SB to anyone looking for a solid childcare/preschool facility.
We love Special Beginnings! The staff are like family to us and we know our kids are safe and loved here!
