Parent Reviews
If you want a childcare center that leads with heart, this is it. St. David’s does a beautiful job creating a truly inclusive environment where children learn to build community with one another. A huge bonus is how much time they spend outdoors—it keeps the kids active, curious, and connected to nature. The staff is patient, loving, and deeply committed to every child's interests and growth. Our own two children have flourished here, and we honestly cannot imagine any other place for them at such a formative stage of their development.
I cannot say enough good things about St David’s The staff is incredibly caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in our children’s development. The student to teacher ratio is wonderful and classrooms don’t feel overcrowded or overwhelmed. Our kids comes home happy every day and excited to share what they’ve learned. The activities are engaging and thoughtfully planned, helping build both social and academic skills. They put a huge focus on time spent outside which is so important to us and one of the things that drew us to SD. They have beautiful playgrounds for the toddlers and pre-schoolers, outdoor classrooms and an outdoor forest which help to foster nature based play year round. Compared to other centers we’ve been to, we’ve been really impressed with the communication. Updates, photos, and feedback help us feel connected and reassured throughout the day. We’re so grateful to have found a place where our children feel comfortable, valued, and genuinely loved and cared for. With our third starting next year, we absolutely recommend St David’s to anyone looking for an amazing place for childcare.
Our family could not imagine a better place for our children's early childhood education and care needs than St. David's. We've had such an incredible experience with both of our kids and truly believe there is something incredibly special in the air there. Not only do we whole-heartedly believe our kids are safe and incredibly well cared for while at St. David's, but we also know they are getting a best-in-class experience every single day through an environment meant to enrich their development through outdoor and indoor play (wonderful spaces), friendship development and teachers and staff who are always looking out for their best interests. I know that I have another set of trusted eyes on my kids and if they need a little extra support or encouragement in one area or another, the team at St. David's is excited to step up in whatever way is critical. Setting my children up for long-term success by supporting kiddos with early intervention needs. I can't imagine a better place for kids before they head off to Kindergarten!
We’ve had all three of our children attend St. David’s ECE program, and our experience has been truly exceptional. From the beginning, what stood out most was how much the environment encourages creativity and imagination. Our kids are constantly exploring, building, pretending, and engaging in open-ended play that really supports their development. The kids love the outdoor spaces, with a large playground, a separate playground area designed for younger children, and a nature-based “forest” space that gives kids the chance to explore and connect with the outdoors. One of the more unique aspects of St. David’s is the inclusive environment. Children of different abilities learn alongside one another, and it’s been such a valuable experience for our kids to grow up in a setting where that is simply part of everyday life. It’s helped foster empathy, curiosity, and understanding in a very natural way. Overall, we’ve been incredibly grateful for the care and experience our children have all had over the last 5 years at St. David’s and would highly recommend it for others.
Our family has had an amazing experience at St. David’s. My son attended preschool in a mainstream classroom he has ASD, and the level of inclusion and support was incredible. Now our 2-year-old attends, and we plan to stay through preschool. It was the only daycare we considered. The staff are wonderful, the teaching approach is engaging, and we love the outdoor spaces and time spent outdoors along with the indoor gym spaces. Most importantly, we feel 100% safe leaving our child at St. David’s. We gladly make the commute because they truly are the best!
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at St. David's Center ECE. It is truly an enriching, and inclusive environment where every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to grow. The teachers are caring and incredibly dedicated, creating a warm atmosphere that makes the kids excited to learn each day. What stands out most is the school’s commitment to inclusion and kindness. Every family feels welcomed, and every child is celebrated for who they are. It’s clear that this they go above and beyond to create a safe, nurturing, and joyful community. We are so grateful to have found such a special place for our children and would highly recommend it to any family looking for an exceptional preschool experience.
We have loved our time at St. David's! Our oldest enrolled in 2021 and we're still there with our 2nd child, kids 3 and 4 will start in the fall! The toddler teacher's are hands down the best! They care for the students and want every to student to thrive! The outdoor nature space is amazing for learning and fun adventures. My favorite part of St. David's is the size, it feels like a small family. Everyone knows everyone! I can't say enough good things about St. David's.
We have had two children attend the St. David’s Early Childhood Education program, and we couldn't be more grateful for the experience. This program is a rare find that perfectly balances academic excellence with genuine, heart-felt care. As a former primary school teacher myself, it was clear from day one that the teachers at St. David’s are implementing the latest research in early childhood education. We have been consistently impressed by their commitment to differentiated learning, ensuring that all children are met exactly where they are developmentally and challenged in the most encouraging ways. Importantly, St. David’s focus on social emotional development is truly inspiring. Our children have learned how to be empathetic friends, how to regulate their emotions, and how to navigate the world with a kind heart. We are thankful for the incredible leadership, the sustaining, diverse community, and good friends we’ve made through St. David’s. It is a place our entire family feels at home. We cannot recommend it highly enough!
There are good preschools—and then there are places that fundamentally shape your child and your family. St. David’s Center for Child Development sets the standard for what early childhood education should be. Every single person in the building clearly has working with children in their heart. There is an authenticity and warmth that is unmistakable—deeply welcoming, human, and intentional. What sets St. David’s apart is the caliber of the people. These are not typical preschool teachers—they are highly trained experts in child development. Beyond the classroom teachers, there is an entire layer of early childhood leaders, specialists, and inclusion experts supporting the program. That additional level of expertise brings a depth and intentionality that is hard to replicate. The curriculum reflects that same level of excellence. It is intentionally child-led, meeting children where they are and building from their natural curiosity and interests. Everything is purposeful, playful, and empowering. Learning is not forced—it unfolds in a way that invites exploration, engagement, and confidence. The programming is equally strong. Children spend significant time outdoors, exploring and learning in nature—including in the school forest. That connection to the natural world becomes part of how they regulate, play, and discover. I frequently found myself sharing photos that reflected the richness of the daily experience—class picnics, art class- but outdoors, participating in water play, engaging in sensory-based learning, and learning from visiting naturalists or musicians. Children grow food in the garden and then use what they’ve grown in the weekly cooking class with Teacher Olga. The program consistently offers thoughtfully designed, high-quality experiences. These are not simply activities—they are purposeful, hands-on learning experiences that build confidence, independence, and a genuine sense of curiosity. Equally notable is the intentional use of the outdoor environment. Children spend meaningful time in the school forest and outdoor classroom, as well as in two inclusive playgrounds designed to support a wide range of abilities and play styles. The campus is so dynamic and the kids love being at school. Perhaps most impactful is who the children become. The children at St. David’s develop a deep sense of empathy and inclusion. They learn to understand differences, support one another, and navigate the world with a level of social and emotional awareness that far exceeds what you typically see at this age. Children don’t simply leave this program “kindergarten ready”—they leave with confidence, compassion, and the foundation to make a meaningful impact in the world. As a parent who asks thoughtful questions and holds high standards, I can say with complete confidence: every time I brought forward a concern or question, I felt genuinely listened to. Not dismissed, not rushed—heard. In all the years we were there, our parenting questions were met with curiosity, compassion, and partnership. That level of care, attention, and respect is something I have never experienced anywhere else. Every staff member approaches conversations with collaboration and thoughtfulness, ensuring that each child is known and supported. St. David’s creates a space where children are allowed to be children—no matter who they are or what they need. They are seen, supported, and celebrated. This program is the heartbeat of our family. St. David’s shapes how we raise our children and continues to influence us every day. Our daughter was deeply supported, and even now that she has “graduated,” it still feels like home. I can reach out at any time to a team of people who know and love her—people who are invested in our family and continue to cheer us on. When you choose St. David’s, you go into the world with full confidence, knowing there is no better place for your child. That kind of trust and peace of mind is priceless.
