Stepping stones has become our family not just a preschool/ daycare since our son started 2 and half years ago the transformation into the little boy has been amazing. We loved hearing about all the amazing things that he would learn at school and how excited he was to share with us. He not only created friendships but created life long friendships. The amount of trust you have to have when you send you baby off to daycare is terrifying and sometimes uneasy, but the feeling we got with Missy, Lucy and papa Ron we knew that this was a feeling of home comfort and love. Having a safe place to send your child is something but having a place where you can feel comfortable and safe and secure knowing that your child is being loved and cared for is amazing. Not only this but the learning aspect of things is a true gem. We definitely got lucky finding stepping stones family. Our son is off to TK, but we will be back in the Summer.

We've been at Stepping Stones for 2 years now and have had the best experience. Our daughter has learned so much and benefits so greatly from being around kids of all ages and developmental abilities. They really care about your kids and are very communicative and flexible. They spend a lot of time outside, they have really great curriculums for learning and making it fun. Couldn't recommend it enough!

I've had 2 daughters at Stepping Stones when they were in San Jose (over the course of 7 years) and I couldn't be happier! You truly feel like family and can absolutely trust them to take care of your kiddos. Great preschool program that promoted a lot of exposure to new concepts and creative expression. My daughters both love taking care of planet Earth and live the motto "peace and harmony"--and that is all because of SS! I am so thankful to have had the SS family in our lives!

My daughter, Jadie, attended Stepping Stones Daycare when they were located in San Jose from age 4 months to 2 years and 3 months. Jadie had an exceptional bond with Lucy at Stepping Stones - it's been over 2 months since she's seen Lucy and she still talks about her! The thing I loved most about Stepping Stones was their focus on being outside and learning to appreciate and respect nature. They had a huge amount of outdoor space, a turtle, and a garden, and would do activities like a caterpillar/butterfly unit every spring. This existing focus was especially helpful when the pandemic hit, as having the children outside for much of the day helped keep them safe and healthy. We wish they stayed local as I know our daughter would have been happy there for many years!

My daughter attended Stepping Stones in San Jose, and if I could figure out a way to drive her to Carmichael daily to attend there, I would. Missy and family treat all of the children with love and respect, my daughter considered herself and all the other kids part of the family. She looked forward to school everyday and came home happy to share stories of her fun day and all the new things she learned. They teach all the age appropriate things - sight words, letters, counting, taking turns, sharing, science/nature, they even helped potty train her (and she is stubborn!!). Most importantly, they helped her understand how to feel comfortable and confident in a group of children, and how to communicate with other kids with kindness and respect. The education she received at Stepping Stones was priceless and we are grateful for Missy, Lucy, and family everyday. My daughter has transitioned comfortably into a classroom preschool now that Stepping Stones has moved, and I’m positive she will transition easily to TK in the fall as well, because of everything she learned, emotionally and academically, at Stepping Stones. Bring your children here immediately, you will be so happy you did!!!!

I would give Stepping Stones hundred stars if I could. We’ve been a Stepping Stones family for over 8 years now and Missy and her family have been taking care of both of my children since they were three months old. Caregivers are very caring and loving. Kids there are great - very friendly and loving and all very bonded. Kids spend most of the day playing outside surrounded by lots of toys, animals and friends. My son (now 8) was well prepared for T-K and Missy taught him all the basic required to enter public school. Summers are fun full or field trips like Discovery Museum trips, movies, bowling and swimming. At this time they are following all Covid protocols and are really keeping kids safe. We have not hesitated for a second to send our daughter there during these hard times. Both of my kids thrived there.
