We just loved April Berroud as my son’s preschool teacher. Although we were not a part of Sun and Shine Preschool, I highly recommend Ms. April. She took over for my son’s 4/5yr preschool class later in the fall. I was a little worried because he does not like change and had already grown attached to his first teacher. Well, let me assure you, my son had no problems adjusting to Ms. April. Hugs were a daily greeting and farewell which we greatly appreciated for our baby. She is strict enough with the kids to teach them manners and appropriate behavior but her constant smile and endless enthusiasm for teaching keeps the kids happy and engaged. Ms. April also teaches for different learning styles. The kids had traditional work sheets but she also used games and tactile learning techniques for those who need to use all of their senses to learn. Did I say endless energy? Ms. April also did physical activities with the kids (dancing for example) to help them burn some energy and keep them engaged. Although my 4yr old only attended preschool 2-3 days a week, Ms. April prepared him for kindergarten in the fall after he turned five. Alphabet and numbers we practiced at home but we were shocked when he knew the months of the year and several songs for their pre-k graduation. She incorporated language, math, and science (which my son adores) in her curriculum. The best review was from my son. A couple of weeks after preschool had ended, he told me Ms. April was the best teacher he ever had. As a mother who only let family watch her son, I never worried about him when he was in the care of April Berroud. She has a huge heart and a love for teaching all types of little personalities.

April is the best preschool teacher ever!! She takes her time to plan out her curriculum based on the needs of her children! She always keeps them busy and engaged throughout the day with age appropriate activities !! My son loved going to her house everyday and always wanted to stay he didn’t want to miss anything!! April has a lot of experience and expertise with preschool!! 10/10 recommend you bring your child to her preschool!!

Sun and Shine Preschool made my daughter feel comfortable in a place that was very different for her. Drop offs are a breeze and my daughter enjoys her time at daycare. I noticed an improvement in my daughter's overall knowledge, as well as her independence. April sends pictures and videos throughout the day so we know what our child is doing and how she is enjoying herself. We also get updates for things like potty time, nap time, and feedings. Having someone who we trust with our daughter is very important, as we do not have family in the area. April has been the like family to us and most importantly, to our daughter. With that being said, I highly recommend Sun & Shine Daycare as a place of nurture and fun for your little one.
