Parent Reviews
Our son attended Sunflower Daycare School starting at 6 months old. Katherine and Victoria were incredibly caring and thoughtful. They offered a safe, fun and engaging environment. They were really communicative which made the transition from maternity leave back to work easier. They provided daily details of how much milk he had and how long his naps were and eventually what he ate. They both truly treated him like their own son.
My son attended Sunflower from 6 months to almost 4 years old, and every morning he was genuinely excited to go to school. He would often bring his favorite toys from home to share with the teachers—a clear sign of how much he trusted and adored them. The teachers at Sunflower are truly exceptional: patient, nurturing, and incredibly attentive to each child’s needs. They take the time to understand each child’s personality, celebrate milestones, and encourage growth socially, emotionally, and academically. One of the first things we noticed during our initial tour was how clean and well-maintained everything was. Sunflower is exceptionally careful with hygiene—keeping toys and spaces spotless and wearing masks during parent pick-up. The daycare environment is filled with engaging activities that spark curiosity and creativity. As a full Mandarin immersion program, my son picked up countless new words and phrases, often surprising me at home with vocabulary I hadn’t taught him. Communication was always open and reassuring; when he was an infant, we received regular photos along with detailed updates on his food intake, nap times, and diaper changes. Leaving Sunflower is bittersweet—we’re excited for his next chapter, but deeply grateful for the loving foundation they’ve given him. I couldn’t imagine a better start to his early years. Sunflower is more than a daycare—it’s a second family.
Making the decision to enroll our son in daycare was daunting, but enrolling in Sunflower was the best thing we could have done for our family. For over a year, their incredible teachers have created a warm, safe, and truly nurturing environment where our son is blossoming. We love seeing his creativity flourish through the arts and crafts projects and fun holiday activities. Their engaging storytimes have sparked a genuine love for books that has carried over into our home. The teachers are also true partners, offering phenomenal communication and support that has been wonderful for us as new parents. Seeing our son eagerly run to his teachers at drop-off and greet us with a giant smile at pickup says it all. In fact, the experience has been so positive, it even won over my mom, a daycare skeptic. She was visiting from the East Coast and was completely blown away by the happy, enriching atmosphere at Sunflower. She left is now a believer in what daycare can offer. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of the Sunflower community and cannot recommend it enough.
My son attended Sunflower Daycare from 4 to 18 months, and he had a wonderful experience! I would have wanted to keep him here longer if not for a commuting issue. The teachers are extremely caring, loving, and attentive. They provide a safe, enriching environment, and my son always greets them with a huge smile. Sometimes he doesn’t want to come home! I really appreciate the amount of learning that happens at school- he understands both Mandarin and English. I am grateful for finding teachers that are so devoted to the children. I would highly recommend Sunflower Daycare, and we will all miss the teachers very much!
Our son went to Sunflower Daycare School from nine months until he was just over three. We are so grateful that he had such a nurturing and attentive first 'school' experience with Teacher Lai and Kay. They are incredible. They are loving, creative, responsible and deeply invested in the children's healthy development--physical, social, emotional and cognitive. They were also wonderful teachers for us as parents, helping us understand what our son was ready to try in terms of self-help skills, new experiences, and challenges. Our son is now six, and he still remembers, and loves his Sunflower School. It was his first exposure to the world beyond our living room, and it was filled with love, reassurance and just-right stimulation and challenge. We are forever grateful to have found Teacher Lai and Kay at Sunflower Daycare School.
