We love Sunrise Guidance! Yasmeen has played a crucial role in providing our daughter a wonderful daycare experience. We love her program so much that we have decided to enroll our youngest child as well. Yasmeen truly cares about
We love Mrs. Yasmeen and her daycare! Our son has been there almost a year now and he absolutely loves his time there and his friends! I feel that he’s learned so much while there too! I was hesitant on using an in-home daycare, but I’ve had nothing but a great experience so far! Communication has been clear and consistent. I can really tell that she cares about the kids and their well-being. We’re very grateful that we’ve found a daycare for our son where we feel that he’s safe and well taken care of while we are at work!
Clean and organized, but ultimately lacking warmth and reliability. After being there 9 months with our 2 kids, Yasmeen gave up on my kids after 1.5 weeks of fussiness from our 6 month old. He had shots on a Tuesday, and by the following Thursday she was saying, "I thought it was the shots, it's not the shots. He's crying all day, needs to be held, and keeping all of the other kids awake." She then went on to tell me that IF an inspector came and saw this dynamic, that they could deem him not a good fit, and that it would be out of her hands. What am I supposed to do with that information? To me, it sounds like a vague threat. She presented no solutions, just said it was a problem and strongly suggested we could lose our place there at any given time. After that conversation, I put out feelers to see about other care options (just figured a light search might be all I could do to get ahead of it if she ended up booting my kids unexpectedly). I tried to express my concerns via text, and that conversation ended in her telling me "I have two weeks notice period in my contract so I will provide care for the next two weeks you can start looking for other daycares for your kids." Then, when my husband picked up the kids, she told him she'd decided to pull the plug after she saw me posting asking for daycare recommendations online. I asked her if we could speak on the phone later in that evening so we could clear the air, and she ignored my requests for a phone call. I can understand that with as many kids as Yasmeen has, this situation can be difficult. But babies cry - and sometimes they teeth, or go through fussy phases as they're trying to learn new skills. My kids are such sweet kids, so ultimately I felt heartbroken that she didn't appear to care enough for my kids to be willing to work with them through a short fussy spell like this. Who threatens that an inspector could kick the kids out when a 6-month old had been fussy for 8 days after shots? To me it just makes no sense. Then, on our last day there, Yasmeen tells me she never wanted my kids to leave and that I was the one who made the decision to remove them. And that is not what happened. SHE decided to give us the two weeks, as punishment for me seeking to be informed, AFTER she gave me a vague threat that my kids could be kicked out any day. We came to the conclusion that our kids deserve much better, and that we deserve to have a trusting and reliable relationship with our daycare provider. If I walked away from this situation feeling so confused and emotionally manipulated, then I am glad to have moved my kids to a new daycare situation.
