Parent Reviews
We've had a fantastic experience with Sunshine House. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and at ease. The staff is warm, attentive, and truly invested in each child's development. Our child has grown so much socially and academically since starting here. The facility is always clean, safe, and full of engaging activities. The daily reports and photos help us stay connected, and it's clear the caregivers take the time to understand and nurture each child's unique needs and personality. Ms Kitchens is so nice, patient and very helpful. We especially appreciate the consistent communication and the sense of community the daycare fosters. Knowing our child is in such loving and capable hands gives us peace of mind every day. Highly recommend Sunshine House to any parent looking for a nurturing and enriching environment!
We love the Sunshine House! Ms.Cheryl and Ms. Mason are amazing! Ms. Taylor truly cares about the students. Ms. Kitchens is a great director. Thank you all for everything you do for our children!
We had a great experience with the Sunshine House on Eagles Landing. From the teachers to the administration they took care of my child with love and support. I definitely recommend.
We couldn't be happier with this daycare! The staff are incredibly caring, patient, and attentive, and it's clear how much they genuinely love the children. My grandchildren feel safe, happy, and excited to go each day, which means everything to us. The environment is clean, welcoming, and well-organized, with fun and educational activities that support learning and social development. Communication with the parents is excellent, and my daughter always feels informed and confident in the care my granddaughters are receiving. We're so grateful to have found such a wonderful daycare and highly recommend it to any family looking for a nurturing and trustworthy place for their child.
We came from a private daycare to Sunshine House and were nervous of the class size changes and personal change from a school we spent years at. However, I could not be more appreciative and pleased with the staff and approach of Sunshine House. Ms. Cheryl and Ms. Mason are extraordinary teachers who do such a wonderful job in treating each student as an individual while also maintaining the class. They interact so well with parents and my son truly enjoys going to school each day. Ms. Kitchens and Ms. Jada were so wonderful in the enrollment process and have always made us feel like they're happy we are there. I would fully recommend this facility.
We absolutely love this daycare! The director fosters a wonderful culture, and you can see it reflected in the staff's dedication and care. Our child adores her teachers, and the consistency among them has made such a positive impact. It's a warm, well-run environment where we feel confident our child is happy and thriving!
The Sunshine House has been amazing to both my babies one in the infant class and the other in preschool 3. The infant teachers, Ms. Trinity and Ms. Mikillah do an amazing job. They make sure that my baby needs for nothing. They do an amazing job of keeping me updated in my sunshine moments. I'm very grateful for that because it lets me know that my baby is doing well throughout the day. Ms. Taylor in preschool 3 is amazing and with my baby. She is so patient with each of the kids and very attentive. She updates me every day picking up my little one. She is definitely my babies favorite teacher since she's been in daycare. If I have any questions she always helps me out. I love that she has them doing little school projects, my three year old and I have love doing each and every project together. Thank you for all that yall do for my babies!
Sunshine House has been such a blessing for our family! After being home for a year, our 3-year-old had a tough time adjusting back to daycare. He struggled with separation anxiety, and mornings were really hard. Ms. Kitchens, the director, gave us the most thoughtful suggestion that truly made a difference. We bought a watch that he picked out, and we set an alarm on it to go off right before pickup time—so he always knows that Mommy is coming back. It worked and he's now adjusted so well! Ms. Shelly has also been incredibly patient and kind throughout our son's transition. The care, compassion, and support we've received have been outstanding. Ms. Nay has been very patient as well with son and my older one loves Ms Taylor. I truly appreciate how they not only provide a safe, nurturing environment but also gently challenge the kids when needed to help them grow. Thank you all again for all that you do!
Sunshine House is outstanding. The teachers are knowledgeable, communicative, and genuinely invested in each child's growth. I love how organized they are, daily updates, structured activities, and a clean, secure facility. My child has grown socially and academically since attending. I moved and had to leave Sunshine House unfortunately and it hurt me to take my kids out. We love Ms. Kitchens and Ms. Jada! Highly recommend to any parent looking for quality care.
Our daughter has been attending Sunshine House of Stockbridge since November 2024, and our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. Initially, when our daughter started in the infant room, there were two teachers we really liked, but she would cry every morning during drop-off. We thought it was just part of her adjustment process, but it happened just about every day. Shortly after, those teachers were replaced by Ms. Akehia, and we couldn't be more grateful. Ms. Akehia is absolutely wonderful. Our daughter warmed up to her within a week, and now, when she sees her, she lights up with a big smile, waves, and chatters away. It truly reassures us to know our daughter is in such capable and loving hands. The entire staff at Sunshine House is fantastic welcoming, transparent, and friendly. They truly make us feel like part of the family, and that sense of community means the world to us. We are confident that our daughter will continue to thrive here until she's ready for kindergarten. We consider this daycare a permanent home for our little one, and we sincerely hope that Ms. Akehia will remain part of this incredible team for years to come, as her love for the children is truly evident.
My husband and I toured this facility when we were looking for a daycare for our daughter. Ms. Kitchens was very polite, honest and professional. The only reason we didn't entrust this daycare with our daughter is because we chose a different area/location to move to. Otherwise, the Sunshine House of Stockbridge would've been our choice just based on the interaction with Ms. Kitchens.
My experience with Sunshine House has been fantastic, and I highly recommend them. From the start, the enrollment process was transparent and thorough. I met with Ms. Jada who was excellent; for questions she didn't immediately know, she called Ms. Kitchens right away to get a clear answer. This level of collaboration and transparency made a huge difference. The tour cemented my decision. Ms. Kitchens is clearly passionate! I watched her greet every student with genuine attention and warmth. The staff's dedication to health, which is critical for my twins who have sickle cell disease, was especially impressive. I observed Ms. Kitchens attentively manage the arrival of a sick child, asking such probing questions that the parent ultimately decided it was best to keep the child home. That kind of proactive care and judgment is priceless. I also met with Ms. Katara (hope I spelled that right!), who was absolutely the sweetest. Walking through her daily activities and lessons made me feel wonderful about my twins attending. Since my children are advanced, I loved hearing that she encourages students who can read to read to her, they are going to thrive here. Finally, the facility is impeccably CLEAN. Overall, I have full confidence that my children will be learning and growing, not just being babysat until I arrive. The staff is friendly, dedicated, and truly focused on education. Five stars!
My daughter has been attending the Sunshine House of Stockbridge for two years, and I couldn't be happier with our experience. The entire team has been incredibly accommodating with all of her needs from day one. The atmosphere is always welcoming, positive, and full of great energy. The Director, Ms. Kitchens, is always approachable, problem solving and she sets the tone that her employees follow. The teachers truly care for the children as if they were their own family. They communicate well, they're patient, and they give each child the attention they need to grow and feel safe. The classrooms are consistently clean, organized, and set up in a way that supports learning and creativity. I'm grateful for the love, stability, and support they've shown my daughter. I highly recommend this center to any parent looking for a nurturing and dependable place for their child.
My baby goes here and I love itttt the best teachers and the best director everybody's so kind and just a overall friendly environment.
Ms. Cheryl and Ms. Mason are awesome teachers; they are wonderful and I love them to death!
I would like to sincerely thank Ms. Mason and Ms. Cheryl for being outstanding teachers. My grandbaby truly enjoyed coming to school each day and always looked forward to the exciting and thoughtful activities they had planned. Under their guidance, she has learned so much and grown in so many wonderful ways. I would highly recommend Sunshine House to anyone, especially the Pre-K program. Please don't make any changes that would impact this amazing program. Ms. Mason and Ms. Cheryl are the heart and soul of it. They are truly deserving of the title Teacher of the Year. Their dedication, love, and passion for our children are clear in everything they do. The Sunshine House is a great school, and I'm so grateful for everything you all do for our kids. We appreciate each and every one of you. Sincerely, Mrs. Partridge Grandparent of Iyanna Paulk.
I would definitely recommend this Sunshine House. My child wasn't new to daycare but I do try to build rapport with the staff and whomever are direct teachers. Let's just be honest, it's a team effort when it comes to taking care of a child. Ms. Kitchens, the director, tries to embody the team approach with them doing their part but you, as the parent, also doing your part. Now, she's a stickler for paperwork and making sure they have everything from parents in a timely fashion. So, if you come prepared, you won't have any problems. However, if you have a question, don't hesitate to ask because she'll say 'that's what I'm here for'. Plus, if you come up to the school during the day, you might see her helping in a classroom to relieve a teacher, putting up decorations, driving the bus, helping with breakfast, or simply just doing whatever is needed to help the facility run smoothly. Ms. Kitchens is not one to just sit in her office like she's above the team, she is in the trenches with the team each and every day. I've had a chance to build a rapport with Ms. Nay, Ms. Taylor, Ms. Shelley, Ms. Jada, Ms. Katera, and Ms. DeAsia. Ms. Nay and Ms. Taylor loved my child. I tried to speak with them for a minute or two each day to check in and see what they may have needed to share with me about my child. I used the facility app to communicate throughout the day to say if she was tired, or got off to a rough start. I think they appreciated the heads up. Ms. Shelley was the right hand to Ms. Kitchens before Ms. Jada was promoted. Yet in still, they never missed a beat. Ms. Jada stays on top of communications and has been around for a while so she knows many of the children by name. Ms. Katera is one of the PreK room teachers and is a GEM! I love getting the video and picture updates in the app to see what they're doing throughout the day. They have many activities for the children (spirit weeks, holiday parties, dress up days, etc.) aside from the learning. So, the learning environment is interactive and engaging. Ms. DeAsia is in charge of the after-school program. Although we don't have much interaction, I still check in to ensure that the behavior was on point. The menus are in the app to see what they are having for breakfast, lunch, and snack each week. But if the meal changes from the plan, the teacher notes it that day to state what they actually had. Payments? You pay your tuition in the app and so there's no question on if or when you need to pay, you can see it right at the tip of your fingers. Don't be late picking up your little one though because they charge late fees, but I don't know of any facility that doesn't at this point. They want to go home too... lol. Call, stop by, and take a tour. I'm sure you'll be just as pleased as I was in becoming part of the team.
I want to sincerely thank the outstanding directors, and teachers who have guided and supported my son throughout this school year. Your dedication, patience, and passion for all the kids will leave a lasting impact. Ms. Cheryl and Mrs. Mason (Pre-K) have created a classroom environment where he feels safe, inspired, and excited to learn every day. Whether it was helping him through challenges, celebrating his successes, or simply making learning fun, your influence has been invaluable. It's clear you care deeply about your students, and that commitment shows in everything you do.
I recently toured this daycare and was genuinely impressed from the moment I walked in. The facility was clean, organized, and had such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The classrooms were bright and engaging, and you can tell a lot of thought goes into creating a safe, fun learning environment for the kids. The staff were amazing, friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable. They took their time answering all my questions and made me feel completely comfortable. You can really see how much they care about the children and their development. Overall, my experience was great, and I left feeling confident that this is a place where my child will be truly cared for and supported once I give birth. I highly recommend checking them out!
I had a tour with Ms. Shelly today. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The teachers were engaged with the children and the children seemed very happy.
4-Week Update: Exceeded Expectations! Initial Impressions vs. Reality? I am still thoroughly impressed with Sunshine House! Enrollment & Health Policy My twins were accepted with Sickle Cell Disease. I am very grateful that the school was proactive and their physician completed the necessary sign-off for enrollment. The policy that allows staff to administer prescribed medications is a huge relief and a major benefit for us, should my twins ever need it in the future.Onboarding & Communication The mandatory orientation led by Jada was thorough, covering all policies and procedures. We received a full tour, start date, and prompt access to the parent portal and secure entry pin codes. The Sunshine App is a game-changer! I get updates, pictures, and videos of my children learning throughout the day, including updates on their meals (breakfast and lunch). Academics & Teachers Ms. Katera and Ms. Amber in the classroom are truly over delivering! I love the videos that show their engaging teaching style. My twins are already excited to talk about solids, liquids, and gasses, and I appreciate the creative ways they approach teaching math. School Spirit & Leadership The atmosphere is vibrant! Spirit Week during our first week was fantastic, complete with decorations and a mini band! Finally, my children absolutely adore the director, Ms. Kitchens. They light up every time they see her. We are so happy we chose Sunshine House!
This daycare is amazing! They are taught to love their friends (classmates) & how to play with each other. They’re also all about cleanliness, which I love. This daycare is out of my way and I had more options in my area, but I can honestly say the extra drive is really worth it. They're not just supervising them, they are interacting and teaching them ❤️
via SunshineHouse.comMy 3 year old is always asking to go to school and talking about what he does there. The teachers really love on both my kids and seem genuinely excited to see them each day. Anytime one is sick, they are actually concerned and check in on them often. It’s like my children have a second set of parents. We love The Sunshine House, the home-like environment, and all the love and compassion they pour into the children!
