I am so please with Sylvan. My son looks forward to going to “school.” The program is responsive to his needs and adjusts content as needed. He is neurodiverse and will be entering regular middle school this year I believe with Sylvan he will be ready for the experience.
My 12 year old son has been coming to Sylvan for the past few months and over this short period it has been amazing to watch how confident he has become in reading and learning in general. He seems much more interested and its not a big fuss trying to get him to do his homework anymore. In my opinion, i think if you are able to provide this resource to your child(ren) than it is money well spent and invested.
My daughter Amelie completed her initial assessment today and the whole experience was wonderful. We were promptly welcomed by Frankie, the director, and with a lovely picture welcoming Amelie. We were given a tour and while Amelie was completing her assessment with Marie, I was taken through a very thorough and detailed breakdown of how Sylvan works and the goals of the program. We received immediate feedback and a plan was in place before we left. Extra time was needed for Amelie to complete the assessment and we were never rushed or felt pressured to leave. Marie was so very kind with Amelie and extremely supportive. The earned tokens and shopping in the store was a HUGE hit!! Amelie left feeling excited and supported. We look forward to our follow ups next week.
My daughter has enjoyed being at Sylvan. She has made improvements in her academics and self confidence!
My kids enjoy Sylvan, the teachers and the other students. They especially love the token program! Marie and the staff are wonderful to work with.

Our 1st grader started tutoring here for help with reading and so far it has been a great support for us. Flexible with days/times, and we love that Saturday is also available. The prize/token system is a big motivator for her :) I think the small groups help our daughter feel not alone with needing extra help.
Our 7 year has been coming here for about a year and is making good progress. Good availability and communication. We have noticed a difference from sure.
Our kids enjoy going to Sylvan of Asheville and their grades are improving in the short time they've been going also.
Our son loves his teachers and we appreciate the regular communication and assessments that track his progress and goals.
Sylvan has been a great experience for my son. When he started, he was below grade level in 4th grade reading. But within 3 months he's now on grade level. The curriculum adjusts/grows with your child and is presented in a way that also helps them become better test takers (which was a huge benefit for my child). And the small groups help them provide individualized support as new topics or questions arise so your child is always learning. We are extremely pleased with his progress and glad we chose Sylvan.
The good teachers at Sylvain made my kid better at math and reading. My gratitude is immeasurable.
They have really helped her get closer to grade level. I have seen a real improvement.
