As a long-time student at Sylvan, I can confidently say it has made a significant impact on both my academic performance and personal growth. Throughout middle school, Sylvan provided the structure, encouragement, and resources I needed to succeed, helping me achieve straight A's in all my subjects. One of the most valuable parts of my experience was their HSPT prep program. The targeted practice and expert guidance I received were instrumental in helping me feel confident and fully prepared for the exam, which ultimately played a key role in my acceptance into high school. What truly sets Sylvan apart is the dedication and compassion of the teachers. They're not only incredibly knowledgeable, but they also genuinely care about your progress. In every session, they check in regularly to see if you need support, sometimes a bit too often (haha), but it shows how committed they are to making sure you understand the subject . If you're child needs academic support or simply wants to build stronger study habits and confidence, Sylvan is the perfect place to start. I'm extremely grateful for everything they've done to help me grow into a more capable and motivated student.

Sylvan learning center in Gardena is a hidden gem . But once your child experiences the wealth of academic preparation in reading or math your child will be on grade level or above ! I highly recommend this location! you have a warm and inviting Associate Director in Anthony Meek who will explain the process and how your child can benefit from their program . He is knowledgeable, professional and respectful and will take the time to help plan an educational goal for your child . My 4 year old grandson loves it here and does not complain and the added reward incentive is a plus . I am impressed with all the staff's resumes so you know they have a strong educational background! The entire staff are very nice and easy to communicate with. Each kid has their own unique style of learning, I don't regret investing in my daughter education . Miriam is a delightful person and very knowledgeable of how to care of each student she deals with. I see the difference between before and now , my daughter has been very good in school and doing so well in all subjects. I will recommend Sylvan to any parent / student who is struggling in school to have better academic performance in the future. A good reference to other parents also goes a long way .
