our daughter has been attending lessons at this Sylvan for roughly a year. our goal was to address a lack of confidence with math, which had resulted in our daughter falling behind grade level and having some pretty strong negative feels about math learning both at home and at school. within 6 months, she was back at grade level and - more importantly - was expressing more confidence and comfort with math and math practice. she went from refusing to participate in most parts of a standardized math test, to trying everything even when she was feeling frustrated about the testing space at school. although we offered to pause Sylvan lessons, our kiddo enthusiastically said they wanted to continue with math there, and we've expanded into writing support as well. she enjoys the teachers, the space, and lessons, and we're happy to recommend the location to folks considering turoring.

This Kirkland Sylvan has been an excellent boost to my son's confidence and skills. We've had a really positive experience with Sylvan Learning in Kirkland, and I wanted to share how impressed we've been recently. My daughter had a math session this week with one of the newer tutors and came home absolutely glowing about it. She said it was the best math session she's ever had and that she got more done in that one hour than she usually does in much longer study blocks. Hearing a middle schooler say something like that about math tutoring is pretty amazing. The tutor clearly explained concepts in a way that finally clicked for her, and it made a huge difference in her confidence. She even joked that she wished her school math class was taught the same way. I also want to mention that since the recent ownership change at Sylvan Kirkland, the experience has noticeably improved. Communication has been much more responsive and organized, which makes scheduling and follow-up much easier for parents. Overall we've been really happy with the quality of the tutors and the support our daughter is getting. It's clear the team cares about helping kids succeed and feel confident in their learning.
