Our family cannot say enough wonderful things about Sylvan Learning of Lakewood Ranch. In September 2024, we enrolled our 10-year-old son in their new homeschool day program after withdrawing him from another school where behavior struggles were only getting worse. He had already faced several challenges —he was a “COVID kindergartener,” which meant his early learning years were disrupted by masks and sensory issues, and he had never made it through an entire school year without difficulties. After completing the full 2024–2025 school year at Sylvan, along with some additional summer work, he is truly like a new child. Today, he is thriving as a confident and outgoing 5th grader at a public charter school. His progress has been incredible —not only academically, but personally. He even just learned to ride his bike after years of being too anxious to try. None of this would have been possible without the support, dedication, and care of the Sylvan team. Christina and Kim are an exceptional leadership duo, and the teachers create such a warm, supportive, and structured environment for the students. Their patience, encouragement, and individualized approach have made all the difference. Taking our son out of public school for a year and entrusting Sylvan with his education was the best decision we've ever made for him.
