My daughter was struggling really bad in school. She's in 3rd grade and couldn't read at all. Sylvan has helped her so much. She is able to sound words out and actually tell me what she's learned. The teachers there are so helpful and have so much compassion with the students. My daughter is excited everyday that she has tutoring. It truly is amazing !!
My son Luke has high functioning autism and ADHD. He is in a regular education class with EC pullout for reading, math and SEL. We started at Sylvan in Lexington a month ago. We just had him tested at his new school for the fall: Ignite Achievement Academy. This is a school for children with autism. The head of school did his class placement assessment. She said his strengths were decoding and phonics. He only needs a little assistance with reading comprehension but I'm confident with the tutoring sessions with Michelle at Sylvan in Lexington he will continue to improve and master reading comprehension. Her expertise, love and care for Luke has greatly surpassed our expectations. His ABA therapist that comes to our house daily for 3 hours is amazed at Luke's growth in reading comprehension. I have over 20 years of teaching as a K, furst, third and fourth grade teacher as well as a reading specialist. I have my masters in K-12 reading. Luke has been tutored in reading comprehension since 1st grade. He's now a rising 5th grader. Michele has helped him grow so much in the past month that it gives me chills. She believes in my son and gives him the instruction to master reading comprehension at his own pace! My entire family is so grateful for this great opportunity for our only child. I highly recommend Sylvan Learning center for your child's reading and math needs… We love Mrs. Michelle. Luke loves going each session twice a week.

Very thankful for the tremendous help and knowledge of Michelle with my daughter. We have been a part of the Sylvan Family a short time now but I have to say it has been such a blessing for my Two Children with Autism. I have two teenage males who absolutely hate school. Add in the learning disability on top and you really have a recipe for disaster. I was so flustered I didn't know what I was going to do. The boys have absolutely loved coming to see the staff and actually learning now. Sylvan of Lexington makes it fun and supportive. They really are the best!!!
We love it! The compassion and expertise that Michelle and Ellen show our son it beyond words. Our son has made great progress in a short time.
