Doing homework with my daughter was EXTREMELY painful. A lot of tears every night. I don't know who dreaded it more, me or her. I had absolutely no idea how or where to start on helping her learn to read and now since starting sylvan her confidence level has skyrocketed. She LOVES going and she's finally learning to read. Happy mom. Happy kid.
Great learning center, advances my sister skills and learning as well as being a safe fun environment.
I have brought my homeschooled daughter here twice for assessments in reading and math and both times things have gone so smoothly! My daughter was well instructed and felt confident during the testing and the results were explained and broken down so well for me to understand and see areas for growth and areas of excellence. My daughter frequently asks me when she gets to go and take another test!

My 8yo son has been going to Sylvan for about 7 months now and he has made progress with his reading and writing skills. I would definitely recommend this program to others. I appreciate how Sylvan focuses on my son's strengths and works with him on the level he is at. Any time I've emailed them asking for an update or the results of their assessments, they have always emailed back with a thorough description of where my son is at with his goals. This has been helpful to share with teachers. My son likes the prizes he can buy with his tokens at their student store.
My child has started feeling more confident in math. The hours available are great and more affordable then I expected
My daughter has been attending for several months. I can honestly say-I only wish we had started sooner. She's making excellent academic progress. It's been one of the best decisions we ever made. The staff are professional and know every single student and family by name. I love that the director works directly with her teacher so that they are working toward the same goal. Again, my only regret is not doing this sooner!
My Granddaughter started beginning of Dec 2025, she really likes it. And I feel good about their program, they have good teachers & staff.

My oldest went here a couple years back during the summer. She really enjoyed it and loved being there. The teachers were very nice to her and made sure she stayed on topic which she needed help with as well.

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN 2020-2021: My 9 yr old loves sylvan learning! She feels more confident after spending 1 month there. She really loves the techniques that she learns because she can apply them to any situation! I recommend sylvan learning because it will make your child's learning experience more enjoyable and easier (and easier on us parents). On a side note: We really care for Mr. Mike! The battery in my car died one night, and I had 2% left on my phone battery(I know, silly me!). He not only helped me jump my car, he taught me how to do it in case I was ever stuck again! Such a gentleman! Our family loves sylvan and cant wait for the younger ones to join! UPDATE: 2/19/2026: We have another child who is attending Sylvan learning, and she loves it. She has been attending approx 1.5 months, and has improved 1 year in reading, and 3 month in math. SO MUCH GROWTH! If you are on the fence about attending this facility, DO IT. We are thinking about putting our other child here (who doesn't need as much help), just so all of them can benefit from the skills they learn. They have it down to a science here. My child attended private, in home tutoring for over a year, and we see much more growth and engagement in 2 months, than we did with her private in home tutor in one year (no dish on you Miss Linda). Cheers to you sylvan for helping our future feel so confident and making learning enjoyable.
Our son has been learning here for almost a year. He has autisum and was in the developmental learning center for the first 2 years of school. When he was transferred to a general education classroom, he was unfortunately behind on his math skills. This place has been very accommodating and he enjoys going. We are very pleased with his improvement and with Sylvan Learning.
Sylvan is amazing! The teachers genuinely care about their students and are so dedicated to their success. I definitely recommend it to anyone who needs tutoring!

Two of my children come twice a week for a total of four hours. The staff is kind and caring. My kids are seeing improvement in the subjects they are tutoring in.

We have two kids enrolled in Sylvan and are thrilled with the success so far. My son jumped 30 points in his math in about a month and we have received several messages from their teachers noticing their shift in confidence. My daughter's teacher said that she has never read so well and asked what we have been doing. Teacher approved! What I love the most is my kids are excited to go. They do a very fun point system- the kids earn points that they can cash in for prizes so it's a very fun and creative way to keep the engaged. Thank you Candace, Jonathan and team for all you do for the kids! And for being so flexible with schedule changes. Lol we juggle sports and school, you all make it so easy to blend our schedules. Thank you!
