As an uncle to three girls, I can't say enough about Sylvan of West Covina and the impact it's had on my nieces. In just a few months, the improvement in their confidence and academics has been incredible. Homework time at home has gone from stressful to smooth, and their teachers at school have noticed the difference too. Jessica, Abyrina, and Chelsea are truly outstanding directors. They are professional, caring, and genuinely invested in each child's success. I brought my two kids here for help with both reading and math. I spoke with Jessica and she did an assessment on them and advised me on how many sessions I would need to get my kiddos up to speed. We've been so happy with the progress that we and the teachers have seen! As long as the kids do their part by showing up for sessions and paying attention, you will definitely see results. My son Ruben has had an amazing experience at Sylvan. When he first started attending Sylvan he was in 4th grade and in school he was only at around 2nd grade level material. His test scores were not so great and barely hanging on. Since attending Sylvan he has caught up to 4th grade and now 5th grade material over the summer. His school teacher has expressed how impressed she is at how his writing has improved. He comes home excited to show his test scores for the week which have drastically improved. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for the teachers at Sylvan who have worked and shown patience because my son can be difficult at times. It truly has been a worth while investment in my child's future.
