I love tutoring here! The students are adorable, and it's so wonderful to be able to help them. Even though I left the classroom full-time, I love that I still get to impact students' learning! Also, I love the assessments and curriculum that Sylvan has developed and think it's a wonderful supplement to the classroom!
Jackie Naughton, the center director, operates this location of Sylvan Learning to the highest standard. Although prioritizing and tailoring their lessons to individual learning needs is expected, the compassion and kindness their entire staff shows is above and beyond other learning centers. They created a one of a kind learning environment that helped my daughter exceed her educational goals. I will be using this location as long as I live in Wilmington. Highly recommend to everyone!
Kaitlyn loves coming to Sylvan. She loves all the different tutors here. She always looks forward to coming and making new friends.She also loves the incentive program they have. She has made a lot of progress since starting Sylvan.

My son was truly struggling after Covid. Because we had to homeschool for some of 2nd and most of 3rd grade, and he did not do well in that environment, he was way behind in 4th grade when they started back full time, especially in math. We called Sylvan and they were lifesavers. They got him back on track with the math content and helped with his diminished focus and attention. He is now thriving, back in advanced classes and doing amazing. We can't think Sylvan enough. Miss Jackie was particularly helpful and always made sure he was comfortable and making great progress (and kept checking in once we both decided he had "graduated"). We love Sylvan!

Sylvan has been absolutely wonderful for my daughter. Her grades in every class have gone up. Her confidence has improved dramatically. We love all the teachers. They are something special! Their ACT program was extremely helpful. The tutors were great and very supportive! I've struggled with tutoring in the past due to my ADHD but they worked with me! Overall really recommend this place!!
They are great, very communicative, the kids work in small groups which work 1 on 1 with the tutor, and their "shop" for the kids is a great incentive for the kids to perform.
They've been so amazing helping me get better grades and test scores. They are all very nice and eager to help.

We are beyond satisfied with the experience at Sylvan. Jackie and team have really improved my daughter's confidence in her schoolwork and her organizational skills. She was struggling at the beginning of 6th grade and now she has steadily improved to be on the A/B Honor Roll! We are so happy we chose Sylvan to help us!
We enrolled our 6th grader at Sylvan Learning Center back in August, and the progress he has made since then has honestly blown us away. When we first started, he was noticeably behind his classmates and we were genuinely worried about what the school year ahead would look like. Sylvan changed that completely. What sets them apart is their approach. Rather than a one-size-fits-all curriculum, they took the time to understand exactly where our son was struggling and built a plan around his specific needs. The tutors are patient, encouraging, and clearly know how to connect with kids his age in a way that builds confidence — not just knowledge. Fast forward to today, and he is keeping pace with his peers in the classroom, turning in stronger work, and — maybe most importantly — no longer dreading school. As a parent, that last part means everything. I can't recommend Sylvan Learning Center enough. Worth every penny.
We started with Sylvan the beginning of this year and have been super grateful and seeing great progress. Jackie the director is on top of it all the time and our daughter has enjoyed her tutors that she's had. When homeschooling my daughter I looked around at different tutor options and Sylvan was the only place that didn't feel like we were being oversold and making it seem like my daughter was years and years behind.
