Description
Ducklings: We recognize that your young toddler has the capacity to learn so much in the first few years of their life by simply having opportunities to explore and play amongst peers. Our teachers encourage learning through daily routines and experiences involving health and physical development, social-emotional development, language and literacy development, and so much more. Your child will enjoy their first steps towards discovering their independence through fun, positive interactions with other children in a safe, structured, and secure environment. Our ducklings curriculum also includes our Global Gull American Sign Language Program. Most young children begin to talk around 12 months old, while some infants even try to communicate with their parents and caregivers even earlier! One way of helping our young children express their feelings, wants, and needs without crying and frustration of a lack of understanding from adults is through simple sign language, commonly known as ‘Baby Core Signs.’ These core signs include words like milk, sleep, play, all done, more, mother, father, etc. *Please note that tuition rates are subject to change.*

Description
Our Cardinal program supports older toddlers and their increased independence, exploration of emotions and feelings, and fast-developing use of language. We also understand and support their continued desire to explore everything about their world. We believe our play-based philosophy and learning center structure gives them the best opportunity to do this. Activities such as ice painting or sorting objects by color will stimulate your child’s inquisitive mind. While in a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment, our program is designed to encourage individual creative expression through your child’s own strengths and interests and foster a passion for learning! Description
Penguins: The early preschool years are nothing short of amazing! Children at this age have an overwhelming eagerness to learn and you will notice that their ability to experiment, explore, and focus on set activities begins to change rapidly. Our Penguin program supports young preschoolers and their need to be challenged, engaged, and encouraged in their learning and personal interests. All of this is done with the belief that children learn best through play! The success of our preschool classrooms truly lies in the environment and materials that have been carefully selected to provide our preschool children with a high-quality learning experience. The individual learning environments in these classrooms invite children in to explore, create, wonder, and question the world around them and is where you can expect to see the elements of our Nest Play curriculum and many other activities come to life. Our Penguins curriculum includes the Global Gull Spanish Language Program. 10-12 minutes are set aside each day to introduce and practice new Spanish vocabulary. Words are selected that relate together in a common theme. Manipulatives and realistic images are used alongside learning new words. New Spanish vocabulary is incorporated into the children’s learning experiences and opportunities. A few examples of Spanish words we will learn together: Todo Hecho (All Done), Jugar (Play), and Sí (Yes). *Please note that tuition rates are subject to change.*

Open to children ages 5 – 12 years old (must have completed kindergarten). Summer is one of the things children look forward to the most. School’s out, and children are ready to get back to their much-awaited playtime. But instead of letting your child become glued to TV screens, computers, or mobile devices watching cartoons or playing video games, this is the perfect time to encourage them to engage in activities that offer the right balance between learning and fun. This is where summer camp comes in! Our carefully crafted camp program is designed to inspire elementary-aged children through a variety of fun and educational activities. Our camps offer unique activities led by experienced counselors that are centered around life lessons, exploration, and fun.

Parent Reviews
We transferred to The Nest in April after some less than great daycare experiences in the area. When I first toured I thought there would be absolutely no way we would be able to afford it because the school is SO much nicer than any other we had seen. The cleanliness is outstanding, which is something important to me. The staff are also great with the kids and keep my 6 year old entertained and my 3 year old has learned so much since we made the switch. Mr. Steve and Miss Lacey are always great with the kids and communicating any updates. Miss Lexi with the Cardinals class was AMAZING with my very difficult 3 year old daughter and the summer camp has been so much fun for my 6 year old!
We’ve had a great first year with the Nest. Mr. Steve and Miss Lacey do a great job communicating with the parents on different events, school policies, and even just saying hi each morning. We’ve been in three class rooms so far and all of the teachers are kind, caring, and take the time to help each kid succeed.
We are still new, but everyone has been very welcoming, and the teachers have gone out of their way to learn about my child and who he is and how he functions. I moved my child from a different facility because of behavioral issues he was having that I believe were partially due to the environment of the facility he was in. After just a few weeks, I’ve noticed extreme changes in my child’s behavior and I am so grateful.
