Unfortunately she does not seem prepared at this time to operate a daycare. She was never there a full week. She always had to leave early or take days off. Sometimes she would get some person you never met to cover for her sometime she eould just close. She had them playing on the tar in her driveway instead of in the backyard. My 2 year old fell off the slide and was all banged up. Another time he got bitten hard enough to break the skin and it hurt him to touch it for a good week. She claimed she didn't know what happened. Again that was a day she wasn't there. Sent him home multiple times with a fever and when I had her take it in front of me the last time it was completely normal (10 minutes after she said it was 102). I even brought him to the dr to confirm because I was getting tired of her sending him home all the time when he clearly didn't have a fever. She requires 2 weeks notice but when you give it she ends the care that day, so be prepared with the new daycare beforehand. I'm glad I was. She also says she charges a $50 fee in the beginning for a blanket with his name and cup and stuff you'll get when you leave. That doesn't happen either. She only gave me some of his stuff back and certainly none of that stuff I supposedly paid for. I'm sure she will have some bs comeback for this but I at least warned you. Maybe someday she will get it together but as of right now, she is not committed to this job.

It was never part of my plan to have my little one attend a daycare so young, but unfortunately life had other plans and I went back to work sooner than I expected. Tiny Castle recently opened & the owner came highly recommended from a former colleague of mine. I had firm expectations on the environment and detailed learning expectations. After our first visit, I could tell that Tiny Castle would be perfect for our family! My daughter has been there 2 months and it’s a breath of fresh air. The owner loves the kids like her own, and sees the value in their individuality. Tiny Castle uses Montessori based learning and the owner is really good about sharing progress with us. They work on age appropriate life skills - you would be shocked to know just how much they CAN do when they’re given the right tools. Another selling point for us was the nutrition side of things. Everyone’s diet is not the same and being a Ghanaian family, my daughter doesn’t eat the ‘normal’ things other kids may eat. She has done very well accommodating us and has even introduced our girl to new foods! The last tidbit is that my daughter is used to being read her children’s bible stories before naps & bedtime. Mrs. Alisha asked if there was anything that they could do to ease into nap time at the daycare and after sharing our routine with her - she didn’t think twice before telling me to send her book with her! I’m not sure there are many daycare providers that would go the extra mile, but Tiny Castle does!

We are new to Texas so finding a safe and healthy place for our youngest 4 year old was so important! I came across Tiny Castle from another parent we met through my oldest sports team & it was a perfect match! Alisha has been amazing with our family, and so trusting! The updates we get while our child is there & seeing how she never wants to leave when it’s pick up time makes it easier to leave for work knowing she is in great hands. Couldn’t recommend her enough!
