In our school-age classrooms, we encourage our students to continue their social and academic development; before and after school, in the summer, and on days when their schools are closed. Description
From field trips to museums, parks, and splash pads to building volcanoes and parachutes in class, we have all of the fun in summer care. By the time summer gets here, your children will be begging to return to our summer program! Our Director staff puts so much time and effort into coordinating curriculum and fun into these few shorts weeks, and it definitely pays off. We have outdoor play areas and indoor gyms for use as well, and there is always a lesson woven into their activity so we can secretly keep learning while we’re having fun.

My toddler has been attending YBR since 7 weeks old (now a toddler) and I'm beyond grateful for their care. The leadership staff does an incredible job of positing information through the daycare app and are always available for questions or concerns.
Update Oct 2025. Our oldest started Kindergarten this year and is outperforming her peers on reading comprehension scores. This is no doubt related to the quality of early childhood education she received at YBR. I especially want to shout out Miss Bia who had her reciting letters of the alphabet at 3 years old. The expected recognition benchmark for Kindergarten is 14 and our daughter scored 26! YBR has given our daughter a strong foundation!
My daughter just started yellow brick road a few weeks ago, going from being at home with mom for 2 1/2 years then a in home daycare for a couple months, this was the easiest and best transition and decision I’ve made. Miss Bia her teacher is so so amazing! My daughter loves her and I can’t say anymore good things about the communication, their day to day activities for pre school!
We are so grateful to have found the wonderful & caring staff at YBR - Creekview. Our son was previously enrolled at a different daycare center in Ankeny & at just 1.5 years old he was so unhappy at dropoff & into the evenings every day we knew we had to look for a change. Since finding YBR almost 2 years ago we saw an immediate change in our son's happiness, both at daycare & home, within just a week of starting at YBR. That happiness has continued to grow every day since! He loves going to daycare & looks forward to seeing the friends he has made & the activities his teachers have planned for the day. We enjoy the communication updates we receive throughout the day on the daycare's app so we can see what he's been up to & learning about in the classroom.
Our son has been going to Yellow Brick Road for a year and in that time he has shown huge strides in terms of name recognition, counting, language development, and social skills. Bia and Dina have a strong curriculum to meet his current development milestones. We love all the teachers but Bia has gone above and beyond to assure us that our child is in good hands!
