Twos Classroom

In the Twos classroom, patient, caring teachers guide children through playful exploration. They help your little one navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity. Your toddler is constantly learning new things about the world around them. At The Goddard School®, our team is here to work with your little one every day as they play, learn and gain the skills they need to prepare for preschool. Infant Classroom

In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need, as well as opportunities to begin learning about the world around them. Our proprietary education program, Wonder of Learning™, celebrates your baby’s natural curiosity within the classroom environment and models how to explore safely. Nurturing teachers narrate your baby’s experiences to build a strong foundation in 21st century skills for problem solving and building relationships.

Tippy Toe Toddlers Program

Our Toddler Program provides gentle, Montessori-based care that supports early development in language, movement, independence, and social-emotional skills. In a warm, nurturing space, toddlers explore, connect, and build confidence through hands-on learning and STEAM play. Potty training available!

Little Scholars Preschool Program

Exploration Academy Summer Camp

We are a summer camp that aims to provide a fulfilling sense of discovery through exploring San Francisco's natural scenery. We have many Arts & Crafts and bus field trips around the city to keep your little one engaged with nature! All teaches are Pediatric CPR Certified and Mandated Reporters.

Early Preschool

Our daily routine includes art, dramatic play, and outside exploration (riding toys, playing with sand and water, and block play). Also featured are music and movement, language arts, and circle time. Children learn to negotiate and play with fellow classmates, practice sharing, and self-regulation.

Older Preschoolers

Our program consists of experiential learning designed specifically to enhance a child's social skills and growing autonomy. Field trips take our children into the surrounding forests. We delve further into social and emotional development with deepening friendships and collaborative play.

Older Toddlers

Our classrooms are filled with endless learning opportunities to enhance children’s cognitive and language skills with basic academics through small-group activities that encourage investigation, exploration, and discovery. Our scaffolding approach is a critical component in teaching new tasks with multiple steps where our teachers provide support for students. Our children that are now engaging in short sentence conversions are able to absorb information within our curriculum that is designed to support creative expression, literacy and music by fostering their curious minds. By introducing skills that enable independence through enriching art projects and hands-on activities, we are ensuring they are able to expand concepts that were developed in Little Explorers.

Preschool

This classroom provides an enriched and challenging hands-on curriculum that continues to ignite children’s inner curiosity enabling realistic learning opportunities through a solid routine that brings out their creativity. Exploring world geography, reading multicultural literature, researching world cultures, playing traditional games are just some of the ways we are building a community of global learners. Throughout the learning process, our students are able to watch their teacher model, or demonstrate, each step in the task or strategy multiple times. Such modeling and repetition allows students to understand both how to perform each step and why each step is important. In this phase our children are practicing by applying their knowledge and developing it further by learning about the world and its food, music and clothing. Children will get to explore and experience various cultures Around the World.

Early Preschool

Between the ages of two and three brain power increases at an astonishing rate. Maximizing on this formative year, our Early Preschool teachers create a joyful and nurturing learning environment in which budding academic and social-emotional skills flourish. Early preschoolers grow in their independence, language, and thinking skills through a predictable and supportive daily routine which includes preparing them for the next chapter — Preschool! Note: Part-time programming is subject to availabilty.

Mandarin Bilingual

Stratford’s newly expanded Mandarin Bilingual program, beginning in Preschool*, builds upon foundational knowledge, skills, and concepts in our accelerated bilingual curriculum. Designed to promote consistency and continuity for young learners, Stratford’s rich STEAM-infused Preschool curriculum is taught by a two-teacher team, one speaking and instructing in Mandarin, and the other in English. This team teaching approach creates an inclusive and responsive space in which individual needs are met, ensuring students feel safe and secure to explore, take risks, and learn without limits. *Program and grades offered vary by campus.

Infants

In this class we brighten up the world by helping our youngest children discover their senses, explore their surroundings, nurture their development and celebrate their milestones. From one-on-one interactions that help build nurturing relationships in everyday moments to age-appropriate books to support speech and language development, our classrooms provide the ideal setting for the youngest children. We are also encouraging children to work on finger painting, music, and pretend play to spark creativity while also exposing them to structures to help with perceptual motor development. When children leave this classroom they will have a Brighter Beginning to the world around them.

Young Toddlers

Our classroom provides an ideal environment to foster individual development and self-help skills. We use a scaffolded approach to learning through systematically building on students’ experiences and knowledge as they are acquiring new skills in order to enhance learning and aid in the mastery of tasks. Their curious minds are exposed to an enriched curriculum focusing on language development by using pictures, books and basic academics in their environment. Following simple instructions is implemented through circle time, story time, art, and curriculum projects. Besides the social, emotional development, we also focus on developing fine motor skills through fun and sensory activities. Our Little Explorers are ready to put to practice their newfound independence by exploring their surroundings as they come with a Brighter understanding of their world around them.

Terra San Francisco Preschools (Multilingual)

Terra San Francisco is a Reggio Emilia-inspired, nature-based preschool offering Mandarin or Spanish immersion for ages 2–4.5. With small class sizes, outdoor learning, and play-based projects, children grow in creativity, empathy, independence, and a love for nature.
