Intermediates

Our Intermediates program for 3-year-olds encourages hands-on exploration through learning centers focused on early literacy, math, and science. Our Links to Learning curriculum also helps children develop independence, practice social-emotional skills like sharing, taking turns, and understanding emotions, and build strong friendships. We also foster appreciation for diversity to create an inclusive, caring community.

Pre-K

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten and beyond by fostering classroom readiness skills, nurturing social-emotional growth through our character education program, and strengthening literacy and math skills. With our Links to Learning curriculum, your child will begin to express ideas through writing, solve math equations, develop an understanding and appreciation for diversity, and work together to create a strong classroom community. For children who miss the kindergarten cut-off, we offer additional academic rigor.

Preschool Readiness Enrichment Program (PREP)

Our Preschool Readiness Enrichment Program, or PREP, will transition your three year old from a traditional early preschool experience to school readiness. Your child will be guided with inquiry-based learning techniques, so that he or she not only understands the questions, but also learns how to find the answers. Our PREP students learn to use technology as a resource tool as they participate in problem solving activities reinforcing their understanding of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Your child will be exposed to Spanish as the language is incorporated throughout the day in songs and games to train the ear and the brain for additional language learning. Our social and emotional learning time will prepare your child to negotiate the larger group and class sizes later experienced in the kindergarten classroom.

Junior Kindergarten

Your Junior Kindergartener will be taught by specially trained teachers using inquiry learning teaching methods. During small group instruction, teachers introduce subject matter specific content in literacy, math, science and social studies. Edith's Home Care/Pre-school

Come join our loving and caring childcare/pre-school family for children 20 months to 5 years. We currently have five full-time and/or part-time openings. Our program has been open for 43 years. Our daily pre-school curriculum, meals and snacks are included in your weekly tuition.
