Parent Reviews
We enrolled our son at Auntie Ming’s daycare when he was just 6 months old, and he stayed until age 3. Looking back, it was truly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made for our family. Under Auntie Ming’s care, our little one grew from an infant into a kind, funny, and confident bilingual toddler—ready to thrive in preschool from day one. Some of the highlights of our experience: • Nutritious Meals: Our son loved the healthy breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks. He looked forward to every meal. • Mandarin Immersion: Even though we don’t speak Mandarin at home, our son now understands and responds in Chinese at just 3 years old. • Personalized Learning: Auntie Ming works closely with each child, teaching colors, numbers, letters, and more through one-on-one attention and hands-on learning. • Progress Updates: She shares thoughtful observations and guidance that helped us support our son’s growth—everything from developmental milestones to potty training. • Special Celebrations: Auntie Ming goes above and beyond to celebrate Lunar New Year, birthdays, and other holidays, making each child feel special and included. The tuition is very reasonable for the quality of care and attention provided. Most importantly, Auntie Ming creates a loving, safe, and stimulating environment where children flourish. We are so grateful to Auntie Ming and recommend her daycare wholeheartedly.
We couldn't be happier with our experience at Auntie Ming's Daycare! Both of my sons went through her program, and they absolutely loved it. From day one, Auntie Ming showed incredible care, attentiveness, and dedication to their growth and happiness. Under her guidance, both of my boys hit all their milestones on time or even earlier, which is a testament to her observant and thoughtful approach. Their language skills developed rapidly, and it was amazing to see how much they learned in such a nurturing environment. One of the things we appreciated most was Auntie Ming's consistent communication. She kept us updated daily with lots of pictures and insights into their activities, which made us feel completely at ease knowing they were in great hands. Auntie Ming truly has a gift for connecting with children and helping them thrive. We're so grateful for everything she did for our family and can't recommend her daycare enough. If you're looking for a place where your child will grow, learn, and feel loved, this is it!
Auntie Ming is the ABSOLUTE best. Over and over again, we reflect on how lucky we were to have found Auntie Ming and to have had her support both our daughter and us (first time parents) during our daughter's little years. There are SO many incredible qualities to highlight, but the first and foremost, beyond all else important is the exuberant love, warmth, trust, and care Auntie Ming and her team (with Gong-gong, Ya-yi, Lily Ayi) have for the kids they take care of. Every morning, it felt like we were literally sending our daughter over to family - where on drop-off Auntie Ming would wrap our daughter in a big hug and all the other kids would also happily greet her at the door, yelling for to come in. The kids are incredibly happy, well-loved, well-fed, well-taught, well-everything; Auntie Ming knows every little quirk of theirs - and constantly thinks about each one of them and how to cultivate them in a highly personalized way. Beyond the incredibly special, attentive care, Auntie Ming is detailed in all aspects of education and growth. Her kids compose of a perfect blend of infants and toddlers, where all the kids learn to share with one another, laugh/play with each other, and grow/care/and help each other. They have group activities (e.g. music, building, art, festivities, fun time!) and also more individualized/age-specific educational activities (e.g. tracing, counting, learning colors, brushing teeth, potty training). From the very beginning, our daughter would happily name all her friends and aiyi's (auntie's) in the mornings and after coming back from daycare. In addition, Auntie Ming feeds the kids nutritious, home-cooked, organic - breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner - you literally do not have to worry about anything. Not to mention, our daughter learned so much mandarin that we continued her mandarin immersion through preschool. Auntie Ming is special beyond words. We all miss Auntie Ming so much, and we can't wait to send our eventual next kiddo to grow under her care!
I sent my second child to Auntie Ming as soon as he turned 6M. Auntie Ming was so thoughtful with us. We originally asked to send my son at around 5M but when I had family over and was able to bridge to 6M she was fine with us enrolling then and held the spot for me. Without any prompting, like the pro that she is, Auntie Ming helped us transition to more solids at 6M, then gradually to whole milk and sippy cups. She also helped my son with sitting to crawling to now walking and talking. She's the absolute best! I sent both my kids to her. Enough said.
Auntie Ming's daycare was one of the BEST decisions we made for our little one and family. She's professional, warm, honest, and genuinely loves the kids like they're her own. Our LO was at her childcare for 1.5 years before starting preschool, and we're forever grateful for how well she has taught and cared for our LO. Her pricing is also amazingly reasonable for this neighborhood. I was a first-time mom who became a stay-at-home mom for 2 years after a scary nanny experience, and so when it came time to finally look for a daycare, I was especially nervous and thorough in my research. We picked Auntie Ming's daycare for many reasons: low student-to-teacher ratio (2:1), outdoor play area, and meals/snacks provided, but WOW, we got so much more. Mandarin-immersion: We don't speak Mandarin at home, and we were constantly amazed at how quickly our LO was picking up this 2nd language. LO would come home counting in Mandarin, singing songs about apples and brushing teeth in Mandarin, naming colors, and teaching/correcting OUR pronunciation of Mandarin words! My relatives who speak Mandarin are impressed by how much LO knows and understands. Potty-training: I was beyond stressed about potty-training, but Auntie Ming was very proactive in recognizing/sharing signs of readiness and made the process so smooth. She and her team are truly the best partners in these big milestone moments. Mixed-age learning environment + individualized approach: I really loved how LO got to interact and play with other kids of different ages (babies to toddlers). They learned to share, take turns, help each other, etc. At the same time, Auntie Ming and her team were able to teach each and every child age-appropriate developmental skills on a one-to-one basis. It's really the perfect balance of group and individualized learning. Preschool-ready: On Day 1, the teachers at LO's new preschool said they were so impressed with how prepared they were for preschool. Auntie Ming not only taught LO the academic and social skills needed for preschool, but really helped us all with the transition leading up to it. Throughout LO's time at Auntie Ming's childcare, she taught them how to be independent (feed and dress themselves, clean up after themselves, use the potty, recognize their name, pull blanket over themselves during nap time, ask for help, etc.). I can go on and on about how wonderful Auntie Ming is and how much she has meant to our family. I highly recommend her childcare to anyone looking for a trustworthy partner in parenting and the most loving teacher for their little ones. My LO still talks about Auntie Ming, Gong Gong, Ai-Yi, and their friends every day. We love and miss you, Auntie Ming!
Auntie Ming is the best and we were very lucky to find her years ago. Our elder daughter went there for more than two years before preschool and right now our younger one is at her childcare for more than one year. Auntie Ming is very kind, warm, and patient with children and parents. My elder one was learning so much in language and math and well prepared for preschool. My younger one is now with potty training, and Auntie Ming is very patient with her development, and also sharing us during weekend the tips and short paragraphs for home training. She is detail oriented and providing very high quality care for younger ones. I highly recommend this daycare!
Our son had a great time there and went from 2.5 to 3.5. She is incredibly caring, patient, and she taught him to be a lot more independent. We look forward to sending his younger brother there soon.
My son went to Auntie Ming's childcare for two years, and was loved so much and cared for deeply here. I am so grateful. Auntie Ming's is a very professional, beautifully organized daycare with fun, educational, age-appropriate activities- often following seasons and holidays. He loved the toys and fishtank as well and playing outdoors. Also, my son picked up Mandarin quickly after starting to my total amazement. Auntie Ming was also very supportive of his dietary preferences and he ate well here! Truly amazing people and atmosphere. I never wanted our time here to end, but feel so lucky for the two years that we had. I can't recommend this daycare enough.
Our son attended Auntie Ming's day care from when he was 8 months old to just before turning 3 years old, and he truly blossomed in their care. It's a loving and truly excellent daycare. If they have a spot, your search for a Mandarin immersion daycare is over. Auntie Ming is thoughtful about all aspects of the children's care, from the food provided to the selection of educational and inclusive toys. Our son communicates fully in Mandarin, despite only limited exposure at home, and can switch between languages easily. Auntie Ming helped him develop independence and self-confidence, as well as focusing on socio-emotional development. When the COVID pandemic hit, we were reassured by the thoughtful precautions Auntie Ming instituted. In all, Auntie Ming provided an incredibly nurturing and warm environment for our kid's first few years. Our son would ask to go to Auntie Ming's on the weekend, and he still asks about his caretakers and friends at Auntie Ming's now that we have moved. As first-time parents, we feel lucky to have had such a great partner in raising our child.
