Parent Reviews
Andrea first started watching our daughter at 7 months as part of a nanny-share and she continues to get great care there when her preschool has breaks. Andrea is warm, caring and our daughter loves seeing her. The space she has created is clean, safe, inviting and fun. Working from home during the nanny share my wife and I witnessed first hand that she has a calm energy and way of getting agreement from children without any bribing or threats that as a parent I sometimes fall into. I have recommended her to other families. A couple of other families at my daughter's preschool have started sending their kids during break and are also very pleased. We also love that she speaks Spanish and English with the kids and while our daughter sometimes resists she has perfect Spanish pronunciation and excellent comprehension.
We've been fortunate to have Andrea as a caregiver to our child as a baby and were thrilled to enroll in her new daycare. Andrea has a unique talent for language acquisition through play. Our little one has been speaking in complete sentences since she was barely 1.5 yrs (in spite of accepted wisdom that bilingual children are slower to speak). Though the kiddo prefers English as that's mostly what we use at home, she fluidly switches between English and Spanish and will easily continue a conversation begun in either language. Beyond that, Andrea is everything you could wish for in a caregiver to your little one. She's kind, empathetic, and playful. She is constantly educating herself on best practices in SEL and gentle discipline. I would classify her teaching style as very Reggio Emilia inspired. She's always watching the children and thinking creatively about meeting their interests so they can continue learning. For example, our barely 3yo just got really excited about reading and Andrea dove right into learning how to support her. Kiddo went from barely knowing her alphabet a month ago to sounding out starting sounds in her books (ie BEAR - "buh buh like baby or berry, mama!") and is starting to play with ending sounds in rhyming games.
