Preschool and drop in care focused on developing whole child. Program creates an environment where children are challenged intellectually and are engaged in an interest of lifelong learning through an intelligent integration of academics and performing arts while focusing on six key areas of development: emotional, social, cognitive, physical, communication, and academic. Lessons and activities provide opportunities for children to gain a love for learning, connect with the performing arts, and demonstrate accelerated development of character, confidence, and commitment. Curriculum is a comprehensive arts-integrated learning program in which children develop skills and knowledge of numeracy, literacy, music, arts, socialization, self-regulation and control, self-efficacy, morality, fine and gross motor skills, and emotional expression.

Our classroom provides an ideal environment to foster individual development and self-help skills. We use a scaffolded approach to learning through systematically building on students’ experiences and knowledge as they are acquiring new skills in order to enhance learning and aid in the mastery of tasks. Their curious minds are exposed to an enriched curriculum focusing on language development by using pictures, books and basic academics in their environment. Following simple instructions is implemented through circle time, story time, art, and curriculum projects. Besides the social, emotional development, we also focus on developing fine motor skills through fun and sensory activities. Our Little Explorers are ready to put to practice their newfound independence by exploring their surroundings as they come with a Brighter understanding of their world around them.

This classroom provides an enriched and challenging hands-on curriculum that continues to ignite children’s inner curiosity enabling realistic learning opportunities through a solid routine that brings out their creativity. Our super star explorers have already developed their Confidence, Commitment and Character and are now getting ready for the next phase in their preschool endeavors as future Kindergartners. These children will continue to be lifelong learners and will foster the love for exploration by further building on their existing knowledge base from getting additional exposure to science, math and technology. We implement many opportunities for growth and will continue to build on their emotional, social, cognitive, physical, communication, and academic skills. I am very happy to have found BuildingKidz - Elk Grove. The level of care, attention to detail, support, and love for the children enrolled really secured myself to enroll both my sons (3 months old and 6 years old). The staff follow the health and safety procedures in response to Covid and that is another level of comfort that I have to let me know that they go above and beyond to care for my children in all facets. As the Director of this space, I would not be able to accept employment if this school was not aligned with my expectations of care and learning for my own children. It is a bonus that I get to be apart of a program and franchise that does what they say they’ll do. They truly help “Build” my children up and I am beyond thankful!
