Parent Reviews
Our son attended Creative Imagination Schoolhouse for three wonderful years, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. Maricar's kindness and dedication created a nurturing environment where our son felt safe and encouraged to explore the world around him. Maricar is exceptional in fostering his curiosity, helping him grow socially and academically while sparking his creativity through engaging activities. We truly appreciate how the school supported his development and prepared him for the transition to kindergarten at his new school. Creative Imagination Schoolhouse will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we highly recommend it to any family seeking a caring and inspiring early education environment.
Both my sons attended CIS and it was the best parenting decision we made during their early years. CIS is an incredibly warm and inviting home-based school and it quickly became a second home for our children and us. Maricar truly excels in connecting with the kids and making them feel seen and understood. In such an environment, kids naturally feel grounded and eager to tackle any learning opportunity, especially within the child-led and play-based Reggio Emilia curriculum . Maricar took the time to share our children’s progress and challenges with us on a daily basis, allowing us to become true partners in their educational journey. What is particularly unique about CIS is the emphasis on social emotional learning (SEL): through books and activities the kids are invited to learn how to manage and express their emotions, how to cultivate friendships and become good members of a community, how to find their voice and their talents, how to become independent. This is incredibly rare in Silicon Valley where there is too much emphasis on academic curricula and not enough guidance in the children’s emotional and social lives. As a result, our children became life long learners and leaders in their educational journeys and we could not have made it without CIS. Every summer our children ask us to go back to CIS for summer camp (some weeks are open to graduate students), that’s how much they loved CIS and still do!
