Parent Reviews
We love DHP! Our two children are delighted to attend school every day, where they learn Chinese, math, art, and other subjects. Field trips outdoors are frequent. The space is bright, clean, and full of toys. The food is healthy and the location is convenient. All children get individual attention, and it’s obvious that DHP teachers love every child in the class from all the photographs and videos we receive every day. We strongly recommend DHP.
If you're looking for a personalized, intimate, and educational Mandarin Immersion preschool, DHP encompasses that and so much more. Our son had been to 2 preschools prior and our experience at DHP so far has been incomparable. He loves going to school everyday and will even ask to go to school on the weekends! Our son is naturally on the shy side and used to rarely talk at his previous schools. Since coming to DHP, he has really come out of his shell and loves to interact with the teachers and students. We've seen much growth both socially and emotionally in a short amount of time. DHP and director/teacher Sonia have created a well thought out curriculum where the students can thrive through different learning modalities. Every day they have different arts/crafts, science, and cooking projects in addition to their daily circle time and outdoor activities. As the student to teacher ratio is smaller, the students get individualized attention and the activities are often tailored to their interests. As parents we are always looking for an environment for our children where they can be safe, learn, and grow and we have found that with DHP. Communication with the school is excellent - - we get detailed updates about our son's progress and receive daily photos/videos via Brightwheel. We also get weekly updates about the curriculum so that the parents are in the loop about what the students are learning at school. It is very easy to see how much the teachers care for the students and we only wish that we had found DHP sooner! We cannot recommend DHP enough.
Teacher Sonia is the best teacher you could ask for. She really loves her students and meets them where they are at to make school fun, engaging, and educational. Both of my kids, who have 2 very different personalities and strengths, are in her program and have thrived in the warm and caring environment she’s created. They can’t wait to go to school each day to do their art/cooking/science projects, have picnics at the park, and learn more about skyscrapers, gardening, or whatever the kids are interested in that week. My favorite part of my day is receiving photos of what the kids are up to everyday. We will really miss Da Hao Preschool when we graduate! Thank you, Teacher Sonia!
Our son has been at DHP from the founding of the school. Out of all the preschools that we have been a part of, DHP's program is the best I have experienced, by a VERY FAR margin. The teacher to student ratio is higher than anywhere else we have seen, each child gets a tremendous amount of attention and a customized curriculum. As parents, we routinely get detailed updates on our child's development - from personal interests, academic interests, to social-emotional development. We really feel like the director is a partner in helping us raise our child, rather than just a child-care center. We will be sending our youngest there as soon as she is old enough.
