Kooky has been more than just a daycare; she is like a grandmother to my daughter and a "second home" for our family. My daughter attended from 4 months old until she turned 3. Growing up surrounded by the immense affection of Kooky, Fifi, and Mona, she has developed into a happy, expressive, and thriving child. We are so lucky to have found Kooky's. Our son has been there from ~1.5 to ~3 years old, and he loves every day. Kooky and her staff are amazing and clearly love our son, and he loves them too. The lunches they provide look amazing, and our son gobbles them up. They have abundant outdoor space, so much so that I have yet to see any other childcare center top them. We are very grateful that they take the time to really have the kids run around outside. We know in part due to the pictures they send, but then he also tries to have us play the same games at home too. We could go on and on about the other great things at Kooky's, like location, affordability, flexibility of the staff, but you should just see for yourself. There is little doubt Kooky's has been an amazing place for our son to learn and grow, and we'd recommend it to anyone.

We wholeheartedly recommend Kookys daycare. Kooky and the rest of the carers are warm and friendly people that both of our children love. As a first time parent, it was hard to 'let go' of our children as they started daycare. The first days were pretty difficult, but I got the impression it affected us parents more than our children. Our daughter quickly grew to like her friends and carers there, and her learning curve boomed as she was taken care of by the experienced team, and learned from the older children there. Similarly, as she grew older, she developed a strong sense of empathy, largely fostered through the encouragement of older children caring for the smaller ones. I'm certain this was a strong preparation for her becoming an older sibling. Upon receiving our second child, we had little doubt who we would trust him with: Kooky, of course! The attention and love shared with our firstborn, the frequent updates of how our children's days went, the friends we made through engaging with Kooky and other parents there, not to mention the luxury of Kooky preparing healthy, flavorful and delicious lunch for our children, makes this an amazing place for the little ones. We've provided unsolicited recommendations of Kooky to everyone we know. She's fantastic.

We couldn’t recommend Kooky enough! We put both our kids there. Our first still loves going there and misses Kooky, and is jealous that her sister is still there. Kooky does home cooked meals, fills the day with outdoor play when the weather is nice and has fun activities for the little ones. She sends us pictures throughout the day and is very helpful when we want to implement changes to our routines ( life saver). + Her ours are great + building is secure Would do it all over again

Our son was with Kooky starting at 5 months to 2.5 years when he then started preschool. This is an incredibly nurturing environment filled with love and learning. All the staff here is excellent and my son (and our whole family) bonded with every single one of them. My son would come home singing, counting and saying his alphabet. Every day at drop off he would go running to Kooky because he loved being there. The space is also lovely. There is a large indoor area for the kids to play and do activities and eat. Then there is a safe outdoor area that is attached to the daycare for the kids to run around, kick balls and play. They cook fresh food for the kids every day that is nourishing and opens up their palette to trying different types of food. We are so lucky to have gotten a spot at Fun with Kooky Daycare! They have been tremendous in helping to raise our child and teach him many things to prepare him for preschool.

On behalf of my family I would like to start by saying this – FUN WITH KOOKY FAMILY DAYCARE IS HEAVEN SENT!!! We thank God everyday that our now 2 ½ year old son “Adry” is very blessed to be under the love and care of Kooky and her wonderful team – Fifi, Mona, Lobna. I have spent time looking at daycares, reading reviews, calling the providers, making visits, and when I came across Kooky’s daycare info and reviews I stopped looking! And if you read all the reviews on Winnie about this daycare, they only speak the truth. We were fortunate Kooky had an opening, and Adry has been with her since he was 10 months old. This is why we love Kooky’s daycare and we hope you will be blessed to have her as well if you’re looking for a daycare for your little angel. The place is beautiful, always clean and organized (aside from when the kids play with everything HAHA). The children are allowed to play and run around outside in a safe, secured, spacious area that is still within the complex and just right outside of Kooky’s place – this is AMAZING! Kooky cooks fresh, delicious, healthy food for the children daily, and we know this is why Adry has become such a good eater he loves his lentils and vegetables!! This daycare has so much fun and educational toys, and Kooky prepares them well for Preschool/Kindergarten. Adry at an early age knew all his ABCs, numbers, shapes, colors and more. Kooky and her team have such genuine, loving, caring hearts, and you see this reflected in the children. They also have cute birthday celebrations for them as well. We also appreciate all the photos Kooky sends daily! Looking back at all the photos from when Adry started, we can’t believe how much he has grown. Thank you so much Kooky for capturing so many beautiful memories of Adry and his friends! It truly saddens us though that we only have 6 months left for Adry to be with Kooky as he will begin Preschool this coming Fall. I wish he could stay with her forever! He has so much fun that even at times when we pick him up he cries because he doesn’t want to leave haha. Bottom line – we trust Kooky with our lives! She is not just a daycare provider she truly is a mother, grandmother, friend, teacher, and chef just to name a few. We feel very blessed to have found Kooky! My daughter was at Kooky’s from age 7 months to 2 yrs 3 months. We left only because we moved out of the city. It was very emotional saying goodbye. Kooky loves all of the children in her care as if they were members of her family. She and the rest of the caregivers create such a loving atmosphere, and each had a special bond with my daughter. My daughter also learned so much at Kooky’s. She hit many of her milestones early, walking at 11 months and talking before many of her peers. She would come home saying a doing things that surprised us and made us realize how much she was learning – like counting and singing her ABCs. Kooky provides meals for children beginning at 12 months old and I think the variety of foods she provided helped my daughter to be willing to eat many types of foods. She sends pictures throughout the day, which helps a lot with the separation anxiety many of us feel when leaving our babies for the first time, and I loved seeing how much fun my daughter was having throughout the day. I would definitely recommend Fun with Kooky Family Daycare to anyone looking for childcare for their infant/toddler!

An Exceptional Family Daycare, I wish I could express enough gratitude and appreciation for Kooky and her team, for the nurturing and loving environment she created. As any Mom, I visited many daycares and stressed about leaving my only baby with a stranger, the minute we walked in we felt at home, kids were happy and wanted to invite my daughter to play with them right away, there was so much laughter and very pleasant atmosphere, it felt like truly special place. Beyond meeting basics like dippers, hygiene, fresh home made meals Kooky Fifi and Mona, always went above and beyond to enrich the curriculum, kids are always encouraged to being active and playful. My daughter would come home singing many toddler songs, do ballerina spins and Yoga poses with excitement telling that this is what she learned, she made amazing friends the she loves continuing the friendship after changing schools. Mixed age group allowed her to be in the different roles throughout the continuation of the program, being the little on up on joining and turning into the bigger sister towards the end, allowed lead in activities show the younger ones how to use a potty and help with baby bottles, this had really nice impact on my daughter over all development as an only child. As a parent I loved the large and airy open space where kids were safely playing outdoors, and of course the best were the multiple daily updates with photos, this memories saved on the pictures will last a lifetime. Lastly Kooky will not sugar coat and she is very honest with parents she will let you know if anything needs attention baby ready for solid foods for more walking, potty training etc. To our family she was a great resource and thought so many thigs I wouldn't have known otherwise.

My daughter went to Kooky’s daycare from 18 weeks old through 18 months old. We left San Francisco last month, which is the only reason my daughter stopped going to Kooky. Saying bye to Kooky and Fifi was extremely hard - they had become like extended family to us. Kooky cared for my daughter like she was her own child. I was so at peace all day knowing my child was well taken care of and happy all day. This is where my daughter formed her first friendships and learned to let people other than her parents take care of her. Kooky and Fifi were so encouraging as my daughter tried to take her first steps. They taught her so many songs, taught her to dance and had also started to teach her the alphabet. When our entire family caught COVID and my daughter wasn’t going to daycare, Kooky continued to provide food for my daughter (because I explained to her that my daughter actually preferred Kooky’s food to the food I made at home!) I was able to text Kooky any time I missed my child, and I’d always get pictures (such as the one I’ve posted here). She made my transition from maternity leave to work so much easier by being reliable, caring and altogether amazing. Thank you Kooky! We are so lucky we met you and we will never find anyone like you.

This review is long overdue but timely as my daughter has graduated from Kooky last month after spending 20+ months there. She started at 8 months little and left 2.5 years old to transition to preschool. The last day was an emotional affair for us (I'm trying not to tear up writing this!) because Kooky has truly been a home-away-from-home for my child. As a daycare snob myself (my mom ran a daycare where I spent all my teens helping out at), Kooky will be highly recommended by us. With families being thousand of miles away, taking my child to Kooky was just like being taken to my grandma house when I was a child. The nourishing care coupled with tender discipline are unmatched, Karima and her team truly love the children like their own. As a first-time parent, Karima taught me BLW with my child when I was hesitant to introduce solids. Kooky then provides nutritious home-cook meals, which I am so grateful for as my child has grown up eating *everything* like a champ! Beyond that, my very strong-willed child also successfully hit all her developmental milestones at Kooky's - learn to walk, talk, wean from paci, naps independently, etc. Going to Kooky is not glorified babysitting at all, my child has now transitioned to preschool with a great head start thanks to being at Kooky where she actually LEARNS through play! This has been a big surprise as we went into daycare with the simple expectation of just having her well-cared for but she has graduated into a fine little lady! The lovely friendships my child made at Kooky (and amongst all the parents too) is something we will cherish for a long time to come. Probably the best part of Kooky is the INCREDIBLE outdoor play area that I daresay is hands down best in the SOMA area. Living in downtown San Francisco means we have limited space in our condo and definitely not enough safe outdoor play space. The highlight of my day is seeing the outdoor playtime she gets at Kooky's - oh yes, Kooky diligently sends photos throughout the day to update parents of their child's day so you don't feel like you're missing your child's growth by having her in daycare in anyway. No mom guilt at all ;-)!

After 1.5 yrs, Kooky feels like family to us. Our daughter felt comfortable from the very first day we left her with Kooky.. with all the pictures and daily activity summary - we feel super comfortable as first time parents with this big transition. We interviewed more than 15 nannies on various websites and apps with little to no luck, so glad we stumbled over this website. Kooky is very kind with lot of patience and a knack for understanding kids. She often gives us parenting tips that are golden..

Our daughter started at 10 months old and now she is almost 2. She is excited every morning to go to Kooky’s and play with all her friends. We are so happy that we found Kooky as we wanted a warm and caring environment for our kid. My daughter looking forward to going to daycare every day speaks a lot in itself, it’s a big win for us. Kooky provides healthy home-cooked meals and our daughter has become such a good eater over the months. I can’t thank her enough for this as we always wanted our daughter to have a good relationship with food and Kooky certainly has played a major role in that. Kooky’s daycare is very clean and spacious. The kids get to spend time in the sun and enjoy. Kooky provides different crafts, activities and toys to keep the kids engaged and support their learning. My daughter learned animal sounds, colors, recognizing numbers and stacking objects way before I expected. I think kids thrive in her caring environment. Kooky sends us pictures several times a day and that makes us feel like a part of our daughter’s day. Kooky is always there to give us advice and tips when our kid is sick or we ask about dealing with certain changes in behavior (as first time parents it is really valuable for us). Overall, we are so glad we found Kooky and highly recommended her to everyone. I am taking the time to write such a detailed review, so that other parents can benefit from this as it is so hard to find the right care for a child.

We have been sending our daughter to Kooky's daycare for nearly 7 months. Initially we had decided to send our kid to one of the Bright Horizons daycare centers but due to the lack of any open slots and by sheer coincidence, one of our friend's recommended trying out Kooky's daycare. In hindsight, it was one of the best decisions for us and our daughter. She is so happy at Kooky's and we feel we might have found a hidden pot of gold with Kooky's daycare. We highly highly recommend her for the following reasons: The constant communication and updates that Kooky gives throughout the day provide a kind of mental peace and assurance that our daughter is in great hands. We feel so comfortable that if we had to go out of town for a few days and knew that our daughter was being taken care of at Kooky's, we would do so without hesitation and worry. Another great aspect about Kooky's is that Kooky provides great variety of home-cooked meals for kids throughout the day . This is such a relief because our daughter has become such a good eater and has started eating very well after starting at Kooky's. One more great thing about Kooky's place is that it is very spacious, full of light and she has a great outdoor area where the kids get to play while enjoying fresh air. The quality of care and attention shows in how the kids feel when going to day-care. Kooky along with her assistant Fifi are absolutely amazing and their love for kids shows immediately - this is something that one cannot easily find, It just comes naturally and with Kooky we could not have been happier.

My son has been with Kooky since he was about 3 months old and now he’s 7 months. In this short period of time, I know and can see how much he loves Kooky and everyone at the daycare. I was nervous initially because he was so young starting daycare, but Kooky and her team immediately gave me comfort and reassurance. In a lot of ways, Kooky is like our grandmother and she truly loves each and every child like her own. I am so glad to have found Kooky and have my son grow and thrive with her.

My daughter has been with Kooky for almost 2 years so it’s become a second home to her and kooky like family. We’re moving on to preschool in August and I know we’ll both be so sad to leave kooky and the team. My daughter has progressed so much, knows all her colors, shapes, animals, numbers, body parts and her ABC’s and speaks to us in full sentences at 28 months. Kooky also helped us potty train her and even though we had a shaky start, she persevered and we are now fully potty trained! The best thing about kookys daycare is the love that is shown for all the kids. It’s a really caring and nurturing environment and you can tell by how much all the kids love kooky and her team. I’ll be sending my second child there when the time comes!

Kooky's daycare is amazing. I knew I had lucked out from the first time I met Karima. I was so sad and nervous to leave my son on the first day, but within minutes of leaving, Karima sent me photos of him smiling and having a blast. Karima cares for each child as if they were her own. The kids are so happy and so loved. My son's development progressed quickly after beginning daycare with all of the games, reading, and singing they do. The children love each other and have so much fun. My family recently moved and the saddest part of leaving SF was leaving this daycare. I HIGHLY recommend this daycare.

Kooky provided a wonderful environment and fantastic care for our daughter starting at around 1 year old until we moved to put her in a pre-school/montessori. We knew we made the right decision with Kooky when our little one came home knowing entire songs by heart and could recite the alphabet. We were very impressed. We were always happy knowing our daughter was loved and well-looked-after by Karima and her helpers.
