Parent Reviews
Finding a good daycare is difficult. The thought of leaving your baby with someone else all day makes you want to never leave your baby at all. It is therefore imperative that you find one that is responsible, communicative and open/honest. Growing Zone, unfortunately, does not meet any of these criteria. We contacted Growing Zone via email and phone. At that time, as Helen was out of town, we scheduled a tour several weeks out to accommodate her schedule. 3 days before our appointment, we emailed Helen to reconfirm. Helen emailed back thanking us for the reminder and confirmed that date/time is still valid. She said she looked forward to meeting us on that day, and also asked us to bring our baby along. However, to our disappointment, when we carried our baby and all the baby gears to her condo building, she stood us up. We called Helen/Frank to pick us up from the lobby, but to our surprise, Frank said they are both not home!!! We were totally stunned and speechless, not expecting this would ever happen as both parties have communicated and agreed to this appointment. In the call they even accused us stating that we didn't reconfirm?! This was simply irresponsible and far from the truth as it was us who sent out the reminder to them and got the reconfirmation from them. We've never had this kind of situation from scheduling appointments with other daycares. They can write or call us if they could longer make it on the scheduled time. They did neither, but instead just no show and stood us up. Finding a good daycare in SF is certainly a process for parents as it takes a lot of considerations, and Growing Zone just couldn't even meet the basic requirements by showing responsibility and respect to parents from the very beginning. How can they ever earn trust from parents with this kind of attitude?
