Our experience at Hearts & Minds Pre-K has been absolutely wonderful. What truly stands out is the beautiful and consistent emphasis on social-emotional learning from all the teachers. They are warm and loving professionals who are so in tune with each child's individual developmental strengths and areas for growth, and they develop a real bond with all of the families. The curriculum is very thoughtful, supporting kindergarten readiness through creative activities that are super engaging to the students. The school has a beautiful yard and play areas, a huge variety of activities, and my son loves the enriching outside programs they bring in like yoga, Spanish, music, and even an insect lab! We couldn't recommend it more highly!
I can't say enough good things about Hearts & Minds preschool. My son Tyler attended Hearts & Minds prior to entering kindergarten and everything about it exceeded our expectations. Tyler went into kindergarten fully prepared not just academically, but also with strong social-emotional skills and an ability to compromise and problem-solve. Jenny, the woman who runs Hearts & Minds, truly cares about each child at her school, and it shows because she takes the time to get to know them, helps cultivate their interests and develop skills in areas where they may need help, and communicates all of this to parents in a way that feels collaborative. During our time at the school, Jenny gave me so many helpful tips and ideas that I was able to use with Tyler. Tyler also LOVED all his teachers at Hearts & Minds, and I feel like they truly loved him too. Two years later I still get occassional texts from them checking in on how he is doing! I can't recommend this school more highly - I always felt completely confident that Tyler was safe, learning, and having fun, and I am grateful we were able to have him attend this wonderful school.
We will be forever grateful for the foundation that Jenny and the Hearts and Minds crew provided our children. If I could give them 10 stars I would. The outdoor space, the arts and crafts and field trips were highlights. Our sons loved the school and we did too. It was wonderful knowing that they were in the care of such a dedicated and thoughtful team. Jenny has so much expertise in child development and gave us great advice throughout the preschool years and as we contemplated elementary school options.
